The Art of Crime: Season 3 (L’art du crime) (France)
This popular mystery series returns with Nicolas Gob (A French Village, Chefs) and Eléonore Bernheim (Murder In…, Maigret) starring as detective Antoine Verlay and art historian Florence Chassagne — mismatched investigators who chase down missing paintings and solve murders in Paris.
One of the duo’s new cases centers on the murder of a candidate for the Opéra Garnier’s ballet company, thought by the victim’s fellow students be an attack by the legendary ghost of The Little Fourteen-Year-Old Dancer, a sculpture by renowned artist Edgar Degas. Another case involves a young woman who dies while meeting Florence for an appraisal of a nearly 3000-year-old Egyptian box, whose hieroglyphs evoke a curse linked to Osiris, the ancient Egyptian god of the dead.

Dancing Queens (Dansande Drottningar) (Sweden)
Created by Helena Bergström (Missing, Spring Tide, Annika Bengtzon: Crime Reporter), this comedy-drama centers on Dylan Pettersson (Molly Nutley, Thicker than Water), a 23-year-old woman from a small island in the Bohuslän archipelago with big dancing aspirations. When she’s talked into cleaning at the struggling drag club Queens, the club’s star dancer and choreographer (Fredrik Quiñones, who makes his acting debut in the film) discovers Dylan’s talent. An Ordinary Woman: Season 2 (Obychnaya zhenshchina) (Russia)
Following the cliffhanger that concluded the first season, this award-winning drama-thriller returns to find wife, mother, and flower shop owner Marina (Anna Mikhalkova, The Icebreaker, Sky Court, Godunov) — after having blurted out the truth about her sex-for-hire business to her husband, Artem (Evgeniy Grishkovets, The Stroll) — trying to keep him from taking control. Summertime: Season 2 (Italy)
Based on the novel Tre metri sopra il cielo (Three Meters Above the Sky) by Federico Moccia and set on the Adriatic coast, the new season of this coming-of-age romance drama finds Summer (Rebecca Coco Edogamhe, Le château du tarot), Sofia (Amanda Campana, A Bunch of Bastards), and Edo (Giovanni Maini, Nudes) passing their final exams and making plans for the future. In the third and final season of this crime thriller, the FIOD, the Netherlands’s Fiscal Information and Investigation Service, offers fired tax officer Hugo Warmond (Barry Atsma, Bad Banks, Black Widow) a deal that is not without risks. Sekta (The Sect) (Russia)
In this eight-episode thriller, Svetlana Khodchenkova (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Wolverine) plays Lilya, a nurse with a traumatic past with cults, who is recruited to help deprogram rescued sect members by a psychotherapist (Evgeny Koriakovsky, Attraction). However, their latest assignment pushes them to the brink.

Moloch (France)
In this six-episode supernatural thriller set in a labyrinthine industrial seaside town in the north of France, random people spontaneously combust and no one knows if these events are due to suicide, murder, or a supernatural phenomenon. To investigate this mystery, Louise (Marine Vacth, Black Box, Young & Beautiful), an ambitious but troubled young journalist, joins forces with Gabriel (Olivier Gourmet, Midnight Sun, Captain Marleau), a respected psychiatrist who carries the grief of his son’s death.
Then six fiery letters start to turn up as graffiti on city walls like a signature adjacent to the deaths: “MOLOCH,” the ancient god of sacrifice. King of the Skies (Vliegende Hollanders) (Netherlands)
Set between 1919 and 1939, this historical drama centers on the symbiotic but tempestuous bond between Albert Plesman (Daan Schuurmans, The Neighbors, Lord & Master), founder of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, and Anthony Fokker (Fedja van Huêt, The Adulterer, The Oldenheim 12), a pioneering aircraft manufacturer and famous pilot. The two men couldn’t be more different — Plesman was a straightforward, physically imposing, happily married Calvinistic family man of simple descent, whereas Fokker came from a wealthy family, was small in stature, and was a notorious playboy and womanizer who wasn’t a fan of rules — and they didn’t like each other. But they couldn’t ignore one another: Plesman needed planes to keep KLM alive, and Fokker needed a big customer to sell his planes to.
Over the years their battles were fought in several countries, during exciting, historic air races, and with an extensive cast of larger-than-life characters on both sides of the feud. At a crossroads in their lives, the men are brought back together at the dawn of a new war, facing one big question: Can they work together to stop the war?

Lupin, Part 2 (France)
Following Part 1’s cliffhanger ending, the highly-anticipated second part of this hit action-crime thriller finds Assane Diop (Omar Sy, The Intouchables, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Jurassic World) paying a heavy price for attempting to exact revenge against Hubert Pellegrini (Hervé Pierre, Spin, Suite noire) for having framed his father, which led to the latter’s suicide. Diop’s family has been torn apart and his son has been abducted by Pellegrini’s henchman, so Assane must come up with a new plan to get his son back safely and to put his family back together — even if it means putting himself in grave danger.

Allmen: The Mystery of the Dahlias (Allmen und das Geheimnis der Dahlien) (Germany)
Based on Swiss author Martin Suter’s humorous “Allmen” novels, this movie in the Allmen series of feature-length mysteries sees Johann Friedrich von Allmen (Heino Ferch, Anatomy of Evil, Kennedy’s Brain), a gentleman art thief-turned-amateur sleuth-turned professional fine art investigator, staying at a posh hotel in Zurich where a million-dollar dahlia painting disappears from the owner’s private suite. To get Allmen to secure a replacement, the eccentric Dahlia Gutbauer (Erni Mangold, Tatort) blackmails him by threatening to call immigration authorities on his loyal and trusted Guatemalan valet, Carlos (Samuel Finzi, Flemming, Tatort: Borowski).
While Allmen stays mum about the blackmail, Carlos does the same about his partner, Maria Moreno (Isabella Parkinson, The Mechanism), who witnessed a murder shortly after the robbery and must now go into hiding. The plot thickens when Allmen discovers the truth behind Dahlia Gutbauer’s possession of the dahlia painting, and believes the beautiful psychologist Dalia Scheidegger (Katharina Schüttler, Dogs of Berlin) is the key to his solving the case.

Katla (Iceland)

Superdeep (Kolskaya sverhglubokaya) (Russia)

The Sommerdahl Murders: Season 2 (Sommerdahl) (Denmark)
Following the events in Season 1 — including happenings in the complicated love triangle between Detective Chief Inspector Dan Sommerdahl (Peter Mygind, Darkness-Those Who Kill, Borgen), his criminal technician wife, Marianne (Laura Drasbæk, The Killing, Park Road), and his best friend and colleague, Detective Flemming Torp (André Babikian, The Protectors, Those Who Kill) — Season 2 finds the trio doing their best to balance friendship and love both on and off the job in the picturesque coastline town of Helsingør in Denmark, while murders must still be solved and criminals caught.

Murder by the Coast (El caso Wanninkhof-Carabantes) (Spain)
This true-crime documentary examines, more than 20 years later, the infamous Wanninkhof-Carabantes case, reviewing it from the judicial, police, political, media, sociological, and gender perspectives. The real-life events chronicled in the film begin with the murder of Rocío Wanninkhof in October 1999, a month before the Dutch-Spanish girl’s 20th birthday, in her hometown of Mijas in Málaga, on Spain’s Costa del Sol.
The ensuing media circus and public outcry to find her killer — a campaign steeped in discrimination and prejudice — greatly influenced the criminal investigation, which culminated in the arrest of Dolores Vázquez, a former partner of Wanninkhof’s mother. At the court trial, the jury found Vázquez guilty, despite there being no evidence linking her to the girl’s murder.
Then the lifeless body of another teen girl, Sonia Carabantes, was found in 2003. This time, the police caught the actual killer — found to be the same person who murdered Rocío Wanninkhof. Fallen Empire (Rašín) (Czech Republic/Czechia)
Based on actual events, this two-part historical thriller-biopic chronicles the fall of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the rise of the Balkan states, and unveils the key events leading up to the creation of an independent Czechoslovak state, through the story of Alos Rašín (Ondrej Vetchý, Absolution), one of the most influential men in European politics in the 20th century.
After the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the Balkans become the most unstable region of Europe. While some wish to strengthen monarchies and kingdoms, others plan to build republics and earn autonomy for their people. Rašín and his allies experience firsthand that patriotism includes the willingness to sacrifice oneself for one’s country when they are sentenced to death for treason, but this group of courageous men went from traitors to heroes in the rise of a new nation.

Set in the small town of Poitou-Charentes in the early 1970s, this crime thriller sees fear and paranoia overtaking the locals after a serial killer sets off on a spree of murdering brunette women. It begins with the discovery of a woman found brutally murdered — a crime the authorities ignore… until one brunette woman after another falls victim to a veritable multiple murderer, and women begin dying their hair blonde to hopefully escape becoming victims themselves.
Starring Sophie Quinton (Mother Is Wrong), Grégory Fitoussi (Spin), Pascal Elso (Marseille), and Lionnel Astier (Alex Hugo), The Shadow Killer has its US linear TV debut on Saturday, June 26, at 9 PM ET, on Eurochannel.

Follow the Money: Seasons 1-3 (Bedrag) (Denmark)
This crime thriller takes viewers into the high-stakes world of economic crime — where speculators and swindlers, the greedy and the ambitious, commit all manner of crimes in their pursuit of wealth. Season 1 follows detectives Mads Justesen (Thomas Bo Larsen, The Lawyer, Veni Vidi Vici) and Alf Rybjerg (Thomas Hwan, The Legacy, Rita) as they investigate a rapidly-expanding, billion-kroner Danish sustainable energy company and its CEO (played by Nikolaj Lie Kaas of The Killing and the “Department Q” films). The duo delves into the practices of one of Denmark’s largest banks in Season 2, and in Season 3, Alf follows the money trail of mechanic-turned-henchman-turned drug smuggler and money launderer Nicky’s (Esben Smed, The Kindness of Strangers, A Fortunate Man) drugs business.
Follow the Money: Season 1 has its streaming debut in the US and Canada on Thursday, June 10, exclusively on Topic and its digital channels, including Topic on Amazon, followed by Season 2 on Thursday, June 17, and Season 3 on Thursday, June 24.

Based on Régis Sérange’s autobiographical book Flic de supermarché, this Big Brother-ish thriller stars Thomas Jouannet (Murder in… Arcachon, Magellan) as Pierre Solvy, hired by a surveillance company to implement and oversee a superstore’s security. Pierre soon learns that his bosses expect him to do more than nab shoplifting suspects: Using the closed circuit cameras, he is obliged to watch the customers and to spy on the employees. But then he discovers something he wasn’t supposed to, and becomes a threat to the system he helped to create.
Surveillance begins streaming Tuesday, June 8, exclusively on MHz Choice and its digital channels, including MHz Choice on Amazon.
Movie of the Week: Passage of Desire (Passage du désir) (France)
In this telefilm, the first of two under the “Passage of Desire” series, retired police detective Lola Jost (Muriel Robin, Captain Marleau, Call My Agent!) and her neighbor, Ingrid Diesel (Fatou N’Diaye, Spiral, Maison Close), investigate the murder of a young social worker in their neighborhood of Paris’s 10th arrondissement.

Movie of the Week: The Secret of Manta Corridor (Le secret de Manta Corridor) (France)
The second and final “Passage of Desire” telefilm finds Lola and Ingrid (now played by Anne Le Nen, Antigone 34) are asked to investigate the disappearance of a hair salon employee — an inquiry that takes them to Indonesia and the dangerous and mysterious reefs of the Manta Corridor.
