In this English-language documentary film, the renowned Icelandic poet and author, Andri Snær Magnason, is chasing something elusive. As the glacial ice of his homeland melts, he constructs a cinematic time capsule to hold onto this moment and send it to the future, before everything he loves slips away. Using his own collected archives, his grandparents’ photographs and films, and traditional songs and folktales, Andri interlaces his family’s story with that of the land around him.
Time and Water has its post-theatrical US premiere on Saturday, August 1, on Disney+ and Hulu.
Das Boot: Season 2 (Germany)
This award-winning wartime series is the sequel to the 1981 Oscar®-nominated film, itself an adaptation of Lothar-Günther Buchheim’s best-selling novel. Sophie Cross: Season 2 (France)
Following on from the events in Season 1, Season 2 of this mystery-crime thriller finds former lawyer-turned-detective Sophie Cross (Alexia Barlier, Toutouyoutou, The Art of Crime) and her husband, Thomas (Thomas Jouannet, Brocéliande, Pacific Criminal), head of the crime squad for which she works, continuing to search for their young son. But they and the team must also tackle intricate investigations, including the deaths of a university librarian, a promising young athlete, and a young woman.

Following on from the events in Season 2, Season 3 of this satirical comedy sees Jan Paweł (Bartlomiej Topa, The Eastern Gate, The Convict, Hold Tight), the head of the Adamczewski family, confront the truth about his identity. The struggle to regain his noble title and status leads him to the royal court, where he observes the backstage of high politics, and the world as he knew it begins to shake. His relationship with Zofia (Katarzyna Herman, The Teacher, Bartkowiak) has cooled, his conflict with Jakub (Michal Sikorski, The Eastern Gate, Scarborn) is escalating, and the person who seems to be behind it is the devil’s closest relative: Andrzej (Andrzej Klak, Heweliusz, Prime Time).

Inside The Trustor Scandal (Trustorhärvan) (Sweden)
This true-crime documentary centers on the Trustor Scandal, one of Sweden’s biggest financial crimes. In the spring of 1997, five people bought the investment company Trustor. On paper, everything appeared to be in order, but the scam was exposed three months later, although it still remains shrouded in mystery. No one really knows what went down, who did what, or how the lives of those involved were affected by the conflicts that continued long after the crime was committed. What is known is that the mastermind behind the coup, Joachim Posener, disappeared without a trace and has managed to stay hidden from both Interpol and the Swedish police for thirty years… until documentary film director Karin af Klintberg found him.

My Life as a Comedian (En komikers uppväxt) (Sweden)
Based on Jonas Gardell’s seminal 1992 novel, this drama follows the life of Juha. In the 1970s, 12-year-old Juha (Loke Hellberg, The War Game) is the ultimate class clown of suburban Sävbyholm, willing to do absolutely anything to survive the schoolyard pecking order and win the validation of the cool crowd. Desperate to belong, he relentlessly tells jokes and performs sketches, just to get in with the popular kids. Decades later, Juha (Johan Rheborg, Agatha Christie’s Hjerson, The Glass Dome) has channeled his bittersweet childhood into a successful stand-up career and is touring in a hit show. Death Inc.: Season 4 (Muertos S.L.) (Spain)
The fourth and final season of this comedy series begins with a big question: Who will be the funeral home’s director? Chemi (Diego Martín, Rotten Legacy, Elite) suggests that he take the position for just long enough to leave his mark, and then Dámaso (Carlos Areces, Superstar, Alpha Males) can take over. So Chemi starts implementing new measures, but while they might work somewhere else, in a funeral home, not so much.

Madam President: Season 1 (Vigdis) (Iceland)
From her teenage years in post-war Iceland to her historic election win in 1980, this biopic-historical drama is about Vigdis Finnbogadottir, who, as a single mother, battles doubt, prejudice, and expectation to be elected the first female president in Iceland and the world.
Starring Nína Dögg Filippusdóttir (The Valhalla Murders, Trapped) and Elín Hall (Case, When the Light Breaks) as Vigdis, along with Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson (Vikings: Valhalla), Hanna María Karlsdóttir (Black Sands), and Björn Hlynur Haraldsson (Trapped), Madam President: Season 1, a Walter Presents title, premieres in the US and Canada on Friday, August 7, exclusively on the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel.
Tatort: Borowski: Season 7 (Germany)
This crime drama stars Axel Milberg (Berlin Station) as Klaus Borowski, a quixotic and socially inept detective (and equal opportunity offender) who solves crimes in the port city of Kiel with his partner, Mila Sahin (Almila Bagriacik, 4 Blocks). Season 7 is the final season.

Irreversible (Irreversível) (Portugal)
Set in a seaside town in Portugal, this award-winning crime thriller follows Júlia Mendes (Margarida Vila-Nova, Pages of Life, The Good Girls Club), a tormented psychologist, and Pedro Sousa (Rafael Morais, Glória, White Lines), a police inspector, as they investigate the death of a teenage girl who was bullied by her schoolmates. As they unravel the crime, they battle their own personal demons and strive to keep their lives intact. In a town where everyone hides something and is willing to do anything to protect their loved ones, the quest for truth may cost more than Júlia imagines.

Their route is all but finalized when Matze falls head over heels for Rebecca (Janina Uhse, Blame the Game). Rebecca’s cool, but Olli feels she is taking up far too much space in Matze’s life, and he’s convinced his best buddy is being brainwashed by this relationship. Based on the best-selling “Guido Guerrieri” novels by Gianrico Carofiglio, this new legal drama stars Alesssandro Gassmann (The Bastards of Pizzofalcone, Un Professore) as Guido Guerrieri, a gifted criminal defense attorney tackling complex cases in Bari. A lover of books, boxing, and bicycling, Guerrieri skillfully handles his cases with the help of Inspector Carmelo Tancredi (Michele Venitucci, Food Club), former crime reporter-turned-private investigator Annapaola Doria (Ivana Lotito, Gomorrah), trainee Consuelo Favia (Lea Gavino, Rogue Heroes), secretary Pasquale (Umberto Sardella, The Homecoming), and Toni Costantino (The Lions of Sicily), a former client who is now the law firm’s intern.

Blood Sacrifice (Blodsoffer) (Sweden)
Set in the summertime in Stockholm, this new Scandi noir crime thriller series opens with an emergency call to the police about a home invasion. Two officers are dispatched to the address, a summer house in the archipelago, except they find no one there, at least not that they can see. The next day, their bodies are found, victims of a brutal crime.
So begins a series of terrifying murders, all seemingly targeting police officers. To help crack the case, lead detective Thomas (Jakob Oftebro, Agent Hamilton, Stenbeck, In the Name of Love) turns to his father, Alfred (Peter Andersson, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Dark Heart, The Unlikely Murderer), a retired detective. The two are estranged, but the murders force them into an uneasy alliance to hunt down and find the serial cop killer before time runs out.

He also has visions and sets about to save the life of his wife, Anna (Gabriella Pession, Crossing Lines), in Season 1, and another family member in Season 2. In the third and final season, Cagliostro has more visions, including one that involves his former I-see-dead-people friend, Vanessa (Valentina Romani, The Sea Beyond).

This psychological drama explores what people are willing to endure in exchange for belonging. The story follows Carlos (Lucas Nabor, Rotten Legacy) and Dani (Jorge Motos, Our Only Chance), university freshmen who are eager to begin a new chapter in their lives. Like many of their fellow students, they hope to find friends, build connections, and secure a place within the social world that surrounds them.
What appears to be an exciting introduction to campus life quickly becomes something far more intense when they choose to participate in a traditional initiation process designed to welcome new residents into the community. At first, the experience seems like little more than a series of challenges, games, and tests meant to strengthen bonds between students. Yet as the hours pass, the atmosphere begins to shift. The playful energy gives way to growing tension, and the line between tradition and abuse becomes increasingly difficult to ignore. What starts as an attempt to fit in gradually evolves into a powerful examination of group pressure, authority, and the dangerous desire to be accepted at any cost.

To help solve the cases, she’s created her own investigative team, which consists of a few of her students. In Season 3, Louise recruits two new trainees: the determined and headstrong Allyson Yang (Ayumi Roux, Captain Marleau), who puts Boris (Nordine Ganso, Jeune et golri) on edge and leaves Valentine (Thaïs Vauquières, Killer by the Lake) flustered, and the highly-sensitive and unconventional Mika Delaye (Mikaël Mittelstadt, Where It All Begins), who can hardly believe he was chosen.

Chantal: Season 3 (Belgium) — English Dub
This crime comedy series follows Chantal Vantomme (Maaike Cafmeyer, The Twelve), who, with her daughter, Emma (Anna-Marie Missoul, Styx), begins a new life in the (fictitious) small town of Loveringem, aka the western end of Flanders, where Chantal is the rural police office’s new inspector. Although the townspeople are used to settling their differences themselves, crimes still happen, which she investigates with assistance from her cop sidekick, Rik (Dries Heyneman, Soil), despite interference from rival detective Johnny (Mathias Sercu, Under Fire).
