Set in Naples, this drama follows the lives of the young men and women serving time in a juvenile detention center on, centering on Filippo (Nicolas Maupas, Un professore) and Carmine (Massimiliano Caiazzo, Filumena Marturano), who have each made tragic mistakes that landed them behind bars. Filippo comes from a wealthy family in Milan while Carmine is a Naples local who got caught up with his family’s criminal rival. In this true-crime docuseries, six of the most notable and widely-discussed Polish criminal cases in recent history are analyzed with new clues as well as witnesses, investigators, profilers, and family. Starting with the court files and filmed on location, each episode shows photos, newspaper articles, or fragments of news videos from the period when the missing person was searched for, the body was found, and the suspect was arrested. The cases involve a brutally murdered married couple, a serial killer, a missing teenager, a married couple buried alive, three murders at a bank, and a mysterious fire that killed an entire family. Suburræterna (Italy)
Set in Rome in 2011, this follow-up to Suburra: Blood on Rome finds political institutions on the brink of collapse, the Vatican shaken by scandals and mayhem on the streets. Cinaglia (Filippo Nigro) has tried to take on Samurai’s legacy, so, together with Badali (Emmanuele Aita), he oversees all criminal activity in the city with the support of Adelaide (Paola Sotgiu) and Angelica (Carlotta Antonelli), who are now in command of the Anacleti, and Nadia (Federica Sabatini), who helps them manage the dealing spots in Ostia.
But not everyone accepts the established order of things. New key players storm the playing field, upsetting the balance of Rome. This sports documentary follows Norwegian former World Cup alpine ski racer Aksel Lund Svindal as he prepares to take on a big personal challenge — to become a racing driver in the 2022 Porsche Sprint Challenge — guided by Norwegian mega-talent in race car driving, Dennis Hauger. The program also analyzes the concept of speed, the psychological aspects and how different people react to speed in different ways. Dicte: Season 3 (Denmark)
Based on the “Dicte Svendsen” novels by Elsebeth Egholm, the final season of this mystery-crime drama series finds the now-married Dicte (Iben Hjejle, The Rain) preparing to write a book. But her lovely life with hubby Bo (Dar Salim, Loving Adults) gets turned upside down when he is kidnapped while on assignment in Lebanon, and she must turn to Wagner (Lars Brygmann, Equinox) for help to get Bo back. Things takes a darker turn as Dicte returns to her former life as a crime reporter, which forces her to face challenges closer to home, as well.
Dicte: Season 3 begins streaming Friday, November 3, on the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel and the Walter Presents digital channels.
1992: Berlusconi Rising (Italy)
This drama is set primarily in Milan and Rome against the backdrop of the Mani Pulite (Clean Hands) national anti-corruption investigation, which led to the collapse of several major political parties and Italy’s post-World War II First Republic government. It follows six people whose lives become inextricably entwined during the course of this watershed year in Italy’s history, including marketing exec Leonardo Notte (Stefano Accorsi, Marilym’s Eyes), wanna-be TV starlet Veronica Castello (Miriam Leone, Thou Shalt Not Kill), former Iraq War soldier Pietro Bosco (Guido Caprino, The Miracle), police investigator Luca Pastore (Domenico Diele, Don Matteo), rich party girl Bibi Mainaghi (Tea Falco, The Young Montalbano), and Luca’s debt-ridden colleague, Rocco Venturi (Alessandro Roja, From Father to Daughter).

Varg Veum: Season 1 (Norway)
Based on the best-selling “Varg Veum” crime novels by Gunnar Staalesen, this Nordic noir mystery-crime drama series stars Trond Espen Seim (The Legacy, Acquitted) as the titular former child welfare worker-turned-private investigator. The feature-length stories in the first season find Varg searching for the missing daughter of a successful female politician; trying to save a wealthy client’s teen daughter from danger; working to prove a woman’s innocence in a murder case; racing against time to stop a serial killer; tracking down an oil drilling company’s missing employee; and attempting to prevent the assassination of a political candidate.

Mastemah (France-Belgium)
In this horror thriller, following the brutal death of a loved one during a hypnosis session, Louise (Camille Razat, Emily in Paris), a young psychiatrist, tries to rebuild her life by settling in a small village in Aubrac. When she starts analyzing a new patient, a dark and mysterious man exhibiting strange behavior, people around her start to die. Mastemah begins streaming Monday, November 13, on Shudder and its digital channels, including Shudder on Amazon.
The Bridge: Season 2 (Bron/Broen) (Sweden-Denmark) (Original & English-Dubbed)
Opening about a year after the Season 1 finale, Season 2 sees a tanker drifting directly into the Øresund Bridge, with no one answering the radio calls from the bridge command center. It turns out the vessel has no crew, but Swedish detective Saga Norén (Sofia Helin, Atlantic Crossing, Mystery Road) finds on board three Swedes and two Danes — all chained, unconscious, and in really bad shape. With Danish detective Martin Rohde (Kim Bodnia, Killing Eve, The Letter for the King) back at work following a major trauma, Saga asks both her boss and his, Hans Pettersen (Dag Malmberg, Spring Tide) and Lillian Larsen (Sarah Boberg, Below the Surface), to let Martin join her on the case. Their investigation leads them to a group of eco-terrorists who are responsible for multiple deaths. But an unexpected development turns the case sideways, forcing the detectives to consider a different possibility about who is really behind the attacks and what the motive could be. Spiral: Season 2 (Engrenages) (English-Dubbed) (France)
In Season 2 of one of the best cop dramas ever, a completely burned body is found in the trunk of a car and, elsewhere, a young girl from a wealthy background is found dead of a heroin overdose. While Police Captain Laure Berthaud (Caroline Proust, Notre-Dame) and her team thought they were investigating two separate cases, they quickly make the link between the two crimes and set out to infiltrate a drug trafficking network.
The English-dubbed version of Spiral: Season 2 begins streaming Thursday, November 23, on Topic and its digital channels, including Topic on Amazon.
