They couldn’t explain who they were, who their parents were, or why they were there. No one ever came forward to claim them. Ultimately, they were adopted by two educators from Barcelona, who raised them with love and provided them with stability. But forty years later, those children, now adults, want to find out who their parents are and why they were abandoned.

Abandoned, a Hulu Original, premieres in the US on Wednesday, July 1, exclusively on Hulu and Disney+.

Expecting to only deal with incidents like pub brawls and border disputes, von Fock is wholly unprepared for what actually awaits him: murder mysteries, stolen fortunes, and other serious crimes. With the help of femme fatale Maria von Nottbeck (Aurora Ruffino, Medici), he grows into an unlikely but brilliant detective.
