Netflix announced today the premiere date for The Secret Woman (aka Den hemmelige kvinde), a new Scandi drama thriller from Denmark.

Natalie Madueño (Darkness: Those Who Kill, Follow the Money, The Rain) leads the cast of The Secret Woman, a twist-filled Scandi noir thriller which costars Claes Bang (The Square, Dracula), Pål Sverre Hagen (Exit, Furia), Stina Ekblad (Thicker than Water, Hassel), Ingrid Bolsø Berdal (Detective Hole, Witch Hunt), and Lars Simonsen (The Bridge, When the Dust Settles), amongst others.
The story centers on Louise Andersen (Natalie Madueño), who lives a quiet life with her partner, Joachim (Pål Sverre Hagen), on the Norwegian island of Hidra, where she runs a small café. One summer day, their peace is shattered when a stranger insists she is not Louise at all, but Helene Söderberg, a woman who vanished from Denmark three years earlier. Louise also discovers that, as Helene, she is married and the mother of a young boy.
Forced to question her identity, and driven to uncover the truth about her past, Louise leaves Joachim and the life she knows and loves to seek out her family and discover what really happened on the night she disappeared. As she delves deeper into the mystery as Helene, she uncovers a shocking truth that turns her world upside down.
