Netflix has set the premiere date for Blood Sacrifice (aka Blodsoffer, previously titled The Case), a new Scandi noir crime thriller from Sweden. Check out the video.
Jakob Oftebro (Agent Hamilton, Stenbeck, In the Name of Love) and Peter Andersson (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Dark Heart, The Unlikely Murderer) star in Blood Sacrifice, a new Nordic noir crime thriller created and written by George Kay (Lupin and Hijack).
Set in the summertime in Stockholm, the five-episode series opens with an emergency call to the police about a home invasion. Two officers are dispatched to the address, a summer house in the archipelago, except they find no one there, at least not that they can see. The next day, their bodies are found, victims of a brutal crime.
So begins a series of terrifying murders, all seemingly targeting police officers. To help crack the case, lead detective Thomas (Oftebro) turns to his father, Alfred (Andersson), a retired detective. The two are estranged, but the murders force them into an uneasy alliance to hunt down and find the serial cop killer before time runs out.

The cast also includes Electra Hallman (Blackwater), Alexander Abdallah (Snabba Cash), Henrik Norlén (Modus), Lisette T. Pagler (Blinded), Magnus Krepper (To Cook a Bear), Irina Björklund (Bordertown), Anders Mossling (The Helicopter Heist), and Anna Maria Käll (Gåsmamman).
Filmed on location in Stockholm and the Stockholm archipelago, the series, a production of B-Reel Films and Observatory Pictures in association with New Pictures, is directed by Kristoffer Nyholm (The Killing, Taboo). Aron Levander (The Truth Will Out) and Emilie Robson (Bergerac) are the episode writers. The producers are Johannes Åhlund and Ulf Synnerholm for B-Reel Films, with George Kay, Kristoffer Nyholm, Willow Grylls, and Matt Sandford as executive producers.
