NATIONAL PREMIERES
RIV4LRIES (Riv4li) (Italy)
Set in Pisa, this teen drama series explores the conflicts and discoveries of preadolescence: first loves, the search for one’s own identity, the aspirations of young people, the expectations of adults, the strength of friendship, and the prejudices that determine who is included or excluded from the “group.”
The third class of section D of the Montalcini middle school is the kingdom of the Insiders, a group led by Claudio (Samuele Carrino, The Devil’s Clock), the most popular boy in school, who’s supported by his best friend, Dario (Edoardo Miulli, Game of Love). Challenging them is Terry (Kartika Malavasi), who just moved from Rome and has formed a new group, the Outsiders. The rivalry between them is intense, but when the school is literally split in two by an actual wall, the Insiders and Outsiders must learn to come together to break down both the physical and emotional barriers that divide them.

No, they are no longer at the top of the food chain. Yes, yesterday’s alpha males are today’s charming relics. (Ouch.)
To wit: Ulf’s job is replaced by a younger woman. Cem learns about the nasty surprises of modern dating. Erik’s girlfriend suddenly wants to open up their relationship. And Andi gets pressured by his wife’s strong libido. The dudes see only one way out: a course to deconstruct male stereotypes. But applying what they’ve learned only makes things worse.

While he and Kuif develop a bond, Gaby starts opening up to Arnaud. But the closer he gets to her, the more she withdraws from him, plagued by her past and worries. The New Force (Skiftet) (Sweden)
This new period drama is about Sweden’s first female cops. It opens in 1958, when the class of Sweden’s first female police officers graduates. They may be few in number, but these pioneers take a big step for gender equality. However, they struggle to take even the smallest step themselves, literally, as the skirts they’re forced to wear chafe like sandpaper against their thighs. What’s more, they are ridiculed by the public, belittled by the media, and scorned by their colleagues.
Assigned to the Klara police district in Stockholm, the country’s most crime-ridden district, these women start their new crime-fighting job by patrolling the city’s streets. It doesn’t take long for them to realize that their biggest problem isn’t the criminals; rather, it’s the resistance that comes from colleagues and Swedish society as a whole.

This acclaimed, multilingual (Swedish, English, Serbian, and Serbo-Croatian) wartime drama series, inspired by the first Swedish UN battalion in Bosnia in 1993, follows four brave Swedish soldiers who voluntarily ventured into the heart of Bosnia’s brutal conflict, as they navigate the treacherous line between duty and humanity.
The six-episode series delves into the lives of Forss (Maxwell Cunningham, Blinded, Top Dog), Babic (Toni Prince, Agent Hamilton, Beck), Strand (Edvin Ryding, Young Royals, Gåsmamman), and Kilpinen (Erik Enge, End of Summer, Delete Me) during their first overseas service in the tangled and bloody conflict in the Balkans. Accompanied by their battalion commander, Andreasson (Johan Rheborg, Agatha Christie’s Hjerson, The Glass Dome), who is torn between the desire to intervene and the duty to follow orders, the young men soon realize that the mission proves impossible to solve by peaceful means alone.
A Life’s Worth premieres in the US with two episodes on Thursday, October 30, exclusively on Viaplay on Prime Channels and other Viaplay partner channels.

Going across a shallow river, he enters a place that time seems to have abandoned, unaware that the crossing is more than just physical; it’s a step into another realm. After venturing into the crumbling homes and schoolhouse, he finds the relentless storm has caused the river to rise too high for him to return. With no way to contact the outside world for help, Marco is stuck here. Then, from out of nowhere, inhuman screams shatter the silence.

With the help of her mentor, the experienced Swedish investigator Gunnar Nymark (Dag Malmberg, The Bridge, Top Dog), Louise creates a profile that points them in the direction of an organized, determined, and ruthless murderer.
