Netflix announced today the global premiere date for Happy Ending, a new comedy film from The Netherlands. Check out the trailer.
Happy Ending centers on Luna (Gaite Jansen, Leopard Skin, The Oldenheim Twelve, Peaky Blinders) and Mink (Martijn Lakemeier, Marie Antoinette), a couple celebrating their one-year anniversary together. Mink is unaware that Luna has been faking her orgasms since the beginning of their relationship, and Luna has kept this secret for so long that she doesn’t dare to bring it up with him.
When her best friends encourage Luna to try new things in the bedroom with Mink, Luna proposes an exciting idea to him: a threesome. The following evening with climate activist Eve (Joy Delima, Dirty Lines, Meskina) turns the couple’s lives upside down and tests their relationship.
Happy Ending, a Netflix Film, premieres globally on Friday, September 1, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
The cast includes Claire Bender (Van der Valk), Sinem Kavus (Mocro Mafia), and Sidar Toksöz (Mocro Mafia).
Produced by Topkapi Films, the film is written and directed by Joosje Duk (#Fitgirls), whose script won the 2021 Netflix New Voices competition. The producers are Max de Wolf, Frans van Gestel, Laurette Schillings, and Arnold Heslenfeld.
