Netflix has set the global premiere date for Voleuses (Wingwomen), a new French film directed by and costarring multi-award winner Mélanie Laurent.
Voleuses (Wingwomen) is an action-filled crime comedy-drama film based on The Grande Odalisque graphic novel by Jérôme Mulot, Florent Ruppert, and Bastien Vivès.
The story centers on Carole (Mélanie Laurent, The Mad Women’s Ball, Murder Mystery 2) and Alex (Adèle Exarchopoulos, Blue Is The Warmest Color, Smoking Causes Coughing), best friends who happen to be genius art thieves. Alex and Carole have been under the control of “Godmother” (two-time Oscar® nominee Isabelle Adjani, Camille Claudel, The Story of Adele H) for years, and they want out from being under her thumb and living a life on the run. So they hatch a plan and recruit Sam (Manon Bresch, A Place to Fight For, Mortel), an ace motorcyclist, to assist them with one last job unlike any they’ve done before.
Voleuses premieres globally on Wednesday, November 1, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
