Comprised of four 18-minute episodes, this young adult short-form drama is filled with humorous and relevant points about the heated housing market in major cities. This docuseries is about a group of Polish burlesque performers and drag queens, individuals who love the stage and tell their stories through the characters they’ve created, the results of each person’s respective search for themself and proof that even one’s greatest complex can be turned into one’s greatest asset. The community they create allows them to be who they want to be. Unfortunately, this freedom comes at a price, as Poland is a country that is increasingly mentioned in the context of racism, sexism, and homophobia. Naked. Loud. The Bank Hacker (De Kraak) (Belgium)
Inspired by true events, this thriller series sees 20-year-old IT student Jeremy Peeters (Tijmen Govaerts, Before We Die) win a hacking competition. Noticing him is Alidor Van Praet (Gène Bervoets, Rough Diamonds), a professional conman recently released from prison. Alidor needs to rebuild the illegal fortune the police seized from him, and he knows this shy teenager is the key to making it happen. In the fifth film of the “Me contro te” (“Me Against You”) comedy franchise, mystery and magic collide at an enchanted school where Lui and Sofi (YouTubers Luigi Calagna and Sofia Scalia) try to host a party until a rival and a secret threaten to ruin their plans.

Medellín (France)
Set in Colombia, this action-comedy film follows Pablito (Brahim Bouhlel, Validé), a young YouTuber fascinated by Pablo Escobar, who makes his dream come true by flying to Medellín to walk in the notorious drug lord’s footsteps. A few days later, a video is posted on social media, showing that a group of dangerous narcos has kidnapped Pablito and will only release him for a substantial ransom. But they don’t know that Pablito has a big brother, Reda (Ramzy Bedia, Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Kingdom), who comes up with a crazy plan: put together a team of underdogs and go head-to-head with the cartel members in Colombia to get his little brother home safe and sound. But this crazy adventure spirals out of control when Reda decides to kidnap the cartel leader’s son in exchange for his brother’s life.

Based on the “Valeria” novels by Elísabet Benavent, the new season of this dramedy finds Valeria (Diana Gómez, 45 rpm) and best friends Lola (Silma López, Cosas de la vida), Carmen (Paula Malia, The Neighbor), and Nerea (Teresa Riott, Barcelona Summer Night) navigating together everything that life offers them — from new love triangles, to birthdays welcoming a new decade.

Vortex (France)
Set in 2025, this new sci-fi mystery-crime thriller miniseries stars Tomer Sisley (Balthazar, Messiah, Philharmonia) as Ludovic Béguin, a captain in the judicial police in Brest. With virtual reality (VR) technology having progressed to the point where it has become a valuable, Star Trek holodeck-like crime-solving tool for the police, Ludovic is currently using it to analyze details of the crime scene where a woman was found drowned on a beach — without having to be there. But a glitch in the VR allows a temporal rift to open, one through which Ludovic is able to reconnect and communicate with Mélanie (Camille Claris, Caïn), the mother of his daughter, Juliette (Anaïs Parello, Parlement), and the love of his life — a woman who’s been dead for 27 years.
Interestingly, Mélanie died on the same beach in Brest as the deceased woman in Ludovic’s current investigation. As he delves further into both cases, he discovers that the deaths of both women are connected: they were both murdered. Ludovic desperately wants to save Mélanie from the killer, but changing the past has consequences in the present, thanks to the butterfly effect. And preventing Mélanie’s death could cost Ludovic his own life in the here and now, the one it took him so long to rebuild and that has given him his new wife, Parvana (Zineb Triki, The Bureau), and their son, Sam.

Barracuda Queens (Sweden)
Set in 1995 and loosely inspired by true events, this crime thriller follows four privileged girls from Djursholm, the self-named “Barracuda Queens” — Lollo (Alva Bratt, A Class Apart), Klara (Tindra Monsen), Frida (Sandra Zubovic, JJ+E), and Mia (Tea Stjärne, The Wizard’s Daughter) — who hatch a reckless plan to rob the house of their new neighbor, Amina (Sarah Gustafsson, Huss), after they’re hit with a huge party bill. Things don’t go exactly as planned, but luckily Amina is more interested in joining them than pressing charges. Together, the gang becomes involved in an escalating campaign of house burglaries targeting their obnoxious rich neighbors.

Lost: Those Who Kill (Den som dræber – Fanget af mørket) (Denmark)
Following the events in Darkness: Those Who Kill and Blinded: Those Who Kill, Season 3 of this dark Nordic noir thriller finds criminal profiler Louise Bergstein (Natalie Madueño, Follow the Money, The Rain) on edge after her recent case. But when a couple is brutally murdered, she teams up with police investigator Frederik Havgaard (Simon Sears, Ride Upon the Storm, The Kingdom) to find the killer, only to face the darkness once again.

Monterossi (Italy)
Based on the novels Questa non è una canzone d’amore and Di rabbia e di vento by Alessandro Robecchi, this limited series crime thriller stars Fabrizio Bentivoglio (The Name of the Rose, Rose Island) as Carlo Monterossi, a famous but unhappy now-former television writer in Milan who decides to leave the popular show he helped create. The first episode without him at the helm is about to debut when someone tries to murder him at home. No stranger to scripted drama and with time on his hands, Monterossi launches his own investigation into who tried to kill him and why. Potential suspects keep leading to more questions and increasingly dangerous characters, as Carlo becomes a less-than-welcome part of the detective team investigating the matter.

What Pauline Is Not Telling You (Ce que Pauline ne vous dit pas) (France)
Ophélia Kolb (Rebecca, Call My Agent!) stars in this limited series drama as Pauline, the ex-wife of a man who dies in his garden, and the person who calls emergency services a bit too clumsily and way too late. She does a bad job of trying to justify her actions, and everything seems to point to her as his killer, to where even her eight-year-old son thinks she’s guilty. With a skilled police investigator on the case, the new examining magistrate quickly identifying a motive, the involvement of social services, and the hypocrisy and rage of her former in-laws, the fragile and unpredictable Pauline has no words left to defend herself, so she chooses to remain silent. Does this mean she did it?

This drama follows 17-year-old Noah (Nicole Wallace, Parot), who is forced to move with her mother, Rafaela (Marta Hazas, Velvet Colección), to the mansion of William Leister (Iván Sánchez, You Cannot Hide), Rafaela’s rich, new husband. Here Noah meets and immediately clashes with her stepbrother, Nick (Gabriel Guevara, HIT), whom she discovers is hiding a life of fights, gambling, and illegal car racing behind his model-son image, stuff she is totally against. Another young adult short-form series is this four-part coming-of-age drama featuring themes of sexuality, masculinity, bullying, queerness, and feeling different. A sensitive, funny, heartbreaking, and poetic glimpse of a small, hyper-masculine provincial town in Denmark, it follows one boy, Lau (Jonathan Meinert Pedersen, Klassen), who feels pressure to fit in with other boys while struggling with his romantic feelings for a charming new boy.

The Playing Card Killer (Baraja: La firma del asesino) (Spain)
This docuseries centers on Alfredo Galán Sotillo, who became Spain’s first serial killer after murdering six people and attempting to kill three others in 2003. He chose his victims randomly and killed them with a pistol that he illegally brought to Spain from Bosnia, where he was with the Spanish Army on a humanitarian mission. His calling card for most of his crimes: a playing card left with the victims. He was sentenced to 142 years in prison, of which he will serve a maximum of 25 years and be released when he is 52 years old.

This World Can’t Tear Me Down (Questo mondo non mi renderà cattivo) (Italy)
In this follow-up to the terrific animated comedy-drama series Tear Along the Dotted Line, an old friend returns to the neighborhood after several years away and struggles to recognize the world in which he grew up. Zerocalcare (Adam Rhys Dee, Family Affairs) would like to do something for him, but realizes that he is unable to help him feel at home again and make the right choice to find his place in the world.

Agatha Christie’s Criminal Games: The ’70s (Les petits meurtres d’Agatha Christie) (France)
Under the umbrella series Les petits meurtres d’Agatha Christie is this new 1970s-set series of whodunits, which, like the 1930s-set The Little Murders of Agatha Christie and the colorful, 1950s-set Agatha Christie’s Criminal Games, features feature-length episodes based on a work by the Queen of Mystery, Agatha Christie.
Here the collars are wide, the sunglasses are huge, and flares are everywhere. Captain Annie Gréco (Emilie Gavois-Kahn, Le Code) is the first female captain at the Lille police department, where the chauvinism is ever-present, even as Gréco runs circles around her hapless male underlings. Her first trusted investigative partner is Max Beretta (Arthur Dupont, Osmosis), an observant and motivated flic who’s always a hair-trigger away from throwing a punch (or worse). Joining them is Rose Bellacour (Chloé Chaudoye, The Paris Murders), a smart, fashionable, and gifted amateur psychologist who doesn’t need a job but won’t settle for being a rich guy’s wife.

Set in the last days of WWII, this historical drama sees brave miners save Europe’s largest stolen art treasure from being destroyed by Nazis, after Gauleiter Eigruber (Philipp Hochmair, Charité) orders the salt mine where the art is stored to be blasted. This three-episode true-crime docuseries centers on the mysterious disappearance of Helena Andersson, a case that has haunted the Swedish police for 30 years. With the case still unsolved, investigative journalist Fredrik Undevik makes a discovery that unearths the unbelievable. A French Case (Une affaire française) (France)
This anthology series is a collection of drama miniseries inspired by major French criminal cases which shocked the nation and divided public opinion. The first season centers on the “Grégory Affair,” the still-unsolved real-life case of the murder of four-year-old Grégory Villemin, one of the most publicized cases in recent French history (and the subject of the Netflix docuseries Who Killed Little Gregory?). This drama follows the various aspects of and the persons involved in the case, which has haunted France since the murder in October 1984 — with its numerous convictions, legal twists and scientific advances in DNA, as well as the treatment of the investigation by both the media and the French judicial system.

The Beach Hotel (Strandhotellet) (Sweden)
Created by author and screenwriter Camilla Läckberg (Hammarvik, The Fjällbacka Murders), this eight-episode drama opens with the 60th birthday party for Werner Gyllenmark (Samuel Fröler, The Truth Will Out, Rebecka Martinsson), who’s invited everyone, including his rival Egil Grip (Dennis Storhøi, Home for Christmas), to his beach hotel for the celebration. But the event comes to an abrupt end after what appears to be an accident, and soon explosive secrets come to light…

Inspector Rex: Season 5 (Kommissar Rex) (Austria-Germany)
This popular light police drama series, which has spawned Canadian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Slovak remakes, returns with another season that follows police dog Rex as he investigates crimes and solves mysteries with his human partner on the streets of Vienna. The New Nurses: Season 5 (Sygeplejeskolen) (Denmark)
Following on from the events in Season 4, the latest season of this popular period drama, set in Copenhagen in summer 1954, sees Fredenslund Hospital being renovated to prepare for the merger with Saint Helene, and the hospital’s Governor breathing down the necks of the construction workers to get them to finish on time. Anna (Molly Blixt Egelind, The Lawyer), Bjørn (Jesper Groth, Riders of Justice), Peter (Mikkel Hilgart, DNA), Aksel (Jakob Åkerlind, Darkness: Those Who Kill), and Marie (Andrea Heick Gadeberg, Chosen) have started their second year of nursing studies, which means an ever-greater workload and more responsibility for the patients. The students also learn more about the profession in England when a small group of English nursing students comes to visit Fredenslund.
At the hospital, Anna finds herself in situations that force her to make quick, difficult, and critical choices to save her patients. In life outside Fredenslund, she and Ole (Kasper Dalsgaard, Rita) are happy, but beneath the surface, Anna worries about the direction of their future life together. And Nina (Katrine Greis-Rosenthal, Face to Face) and Bent (Jens Jørn Spottag, DNA) hide just how far along Nina’s pregnancy is to cover up the fact that she is expecting Dr. Neumann’s (Jon Lange, Couple Trouble) child. But when John announces that he is a bachelor again, it leads to longing gazes between him and Nina. Meanwhile, Bent is thrilled at the prospect of becoming the father.

The Hunt for Salamander: Season 1 (Otdel Izdirvane) (Bulgaria)
In this award-winning mystery-crime drama, Kamen Petkov (Julian Vergov, In the Heart of the Machine), who runs the Missing Persons division at the National Police Directorate, is still struggling from a tragic personal loss eleven years ago. He and his then-wife, Raliza Petkova (Ana Papadopulu, Stolen Life), a police inspector now working at another branch, lost their daughter in an incident that no one realizes was caused by a powerful crime syndicate operating in the Balkans.

In this long-running crime comedy series, Detective Sophie Haas (Caroline Peters, Tatort) is transferred from Cologne to the (fictional) rural town of Hengasch in the Eifel mountains, where she leads a police force of two officers — Sergeant Dietmar Schäffer (Bjarne Mädel, Crime Scene Cleaner) and Officer Barbel Schmied (Meike Droste, Tatort: Cologne). Bummed at the lack of cases, Haas pursues every tiny lead for every small infraction. Giovanna’s Journey (Furore – Capitolo secondo) (Italy)
In this 1960s-set family saga, the death of both of Giovanna’s (Raffaella Di Caprio, Artemisia) parents sets her on an emotional journey to discover the truth about her real family. She heads north to Lido Ligure, where she meets Franco Belmonte (Francesco Ferdinandi, Don Matteo), a police lieutenant who changes his prejudiced views about southerners like Giovanna after falling in love with her. However, in her desperation to uncover the truth, Giovanna often ignores her better judgement, and her journey doesn’t go quite to plan.
Meanwhile, in Lido Ligure, brothers Vito (Francesco Testi, Velvet) and Saro (Massimiliano Morra, Non è stato mio figlio) Licata are about to marry sisters Marisella (Adua Del Vesco, Loro) and Giuseppina Fiore (Clotilde Esposito, The Price of Crime), respectively. But an act of violence ends in bloodshed on the wedding day, prompting Saro to join the police force to get justice. It also opens up the opportunity for Sofia (Elena Russo, Don Matteo), Marisella and Giuseppina’s older sister, to acquire a coveted business and get social revenge.

Blood Trail (Der Schutzengel) (Austria)
Set in the remote Waldviertel region of Austria, this crime drama opens with the discovery of a dead woman floating in a picturesque pond. The victim, Fanny Hofstatter, had worked for the Lanners in the local castle for 15 years, caring for the lord of the castle’s wife until her death. Investigating what is later confirmed to be a murder is Inspector Paul Werner (Fritz Karl, Sisi: Austrian Empress) and local police officer Martin (Michael Steinocher, Tatort). Amongst their suspects are the owner of the castle, Hanno Lanner (Michael Rotschopf, Homicide Unit Istanbul), and Fanny’s nephew, Robert Hofstatter (Oliver Rosskopf, Corsage), who is in desperate need of money. As Paul and Martin delve deeper into the case, they uncover a web of lies and secrets that lead them closer to the truth. But as Martin has a personal connection to the case, he risks becoming a suspect himself.

The Space Between (Italy-Australia)
This drama follows Marco (Flavio Parenti, 1993), a talented now-former chef who gave up his career and life in Udine in Northern Italy to take care of his ailing father. The shock of the disappearance of his best friend, Claudio (Lino Guanciale, Inspector Ricciardi), leaves Marco devastated, but then he meets Olivia (Maeve Dermody, And Then There Were None), a young Australian passing through the city, and he begins to see the possibility of pursuing his dreams again.

Mafia Prince (Fine pena mai) (Italy)
Inspired by the autobiography of Antonio Perrone, this 1980s-set biopic-crime drama stars Claudio Santamaria (Christian, Forgive Us Our Debts) as Perrone, a restless young man from southern Italy, whose journey takes him from a life as a promising young man in a wealthy family, to one of crime, propelled by his self-destructive drive and fueled by his love for Daniela (Valentina Cervi, The Invisible Thread, The Catholic School), his girlfriend since university. As Perrone rises in the ranks of the criminal underworld, he becomes entangled with the notorious Sacra Corona Unita, the Fourth Mafia, and finds himself caught in a spiral of violence and betrayal in Salento.

Season 1 follows detectives Mads Justesen (Thomas Bo Larsen, The Lawyer, Veni Vidi Vici) and Alf Rybjerg (Thomas Hwan, The Legacy, Rita) as they investigate a rapidly-expanding, billion-kroner Danish sustainable energy company and its CEO, Alexander Sødergren (Nikolaj Lie Kaas, The Killing).
In Season 2, the duo, with help from Sødergren’s former in-house attorney, Claudia Moreno (Natalie Madueño, Darkness: Those Who Kill), delves into the practices of Nova Bank, one of Denmark’s largest banks, as it attempts a buyout of the smaller, more controversial, P2P-lending Absalon Bank, run by the brother-and-sister team of Simon (David Dencik, The Chestnut Man) and Amanda (Sonja Richter, Loving Adults) Absalonsen. Reunions (France)
In this comedy series, Jérémy (Loup-Denis Elion, Murder in Lille) inherits a hotel on the island of Réunion, bequeathed to him by the late father he never knew. His partner, Chloé (Laëtitia Milot, Olivia), sees it as the ideal opportunity to start a new life far from Roubaix and their financial worries. The thing is, Jérémy only owns half of the hotel; the other half belongs to his half-brother, Antoine (Nicolas Bridet, Spin), whose wife, Victoire (Sara Martins, Alexandra Ehle), has ideas of her own about what to do with the place. What’s more, the hotel is on the verge of bankruptcy. Although the island appears to be a slice of paradise, the merging of the two families while running a demanding business brings challenges of all sorts.

Face To Face: Season 2 (Forhøret) (Denmark)
Trine Dyrholm (Margrete: Queen of the North, The Legacy) returns as therapist Susanne Egholm and takes on the lead role in Season 2 of this mystery thriller. This eight-episode season finds Susanne mourning the loss of her daughter when a man named John (Olaf Johannessen, Follow the Money) visits her for help to quit smoking. But while under hypnosis, John reveals a shocker: he has committed murder and will do so again. Tonight. After going to the police for help but getting none, Susanne must, on her own, figure out who John’s intended victim is and stop him before he kills again.
