Created and written by Jorge Guerricaechevarría, Clanes has started filming, with shooting to happen in various locations in Galicia, Malaga, Gibraltar, Algeciras, and Madrid, Spain, Porto, Portugal, and Senegal, over the next few months.

Starring in the eight-episode series are Clara Lago (Limbo, The Neighbor) and Tamar Novas (The Patients of Dr. Garcia, High Seas).

In Clanes, Ana (Clara Lago), a lawyer, arrives in the small town of Cambados. Her presence does not go unnoticed by anyone, including Daniel (Tamar Novas), the son of an important drug trafficker and acting head of the Padín clan while his father remains in prison. With extensive experience in one of the best law firms in Madrid, Ana has decided to start from scratch in Cambados — with the intention of settling accounts from her past.

Also in the cast are Xosé Antonio Touriñán (The Mess You Leave Behind), Chechu Salgado (The Laws of the Border), Melania Cruz (Malencolía), Miguel de Lira (Unauthorized Living), Francesc Garrido (I Know Who You Are), and Diego Anido (The Beasts).

Produced by Vaca Films for Netflix, the series is directed by Roger Gual (Cable Girls).

Stay tuned for updates.
