Netflix has announced the premiere date for Billionaires’ Bunker, a new drama series from the creators of Money Heist.
Created by Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato (Money Heist, Berlin, Sky Rojo), Billionaires’ Bunker (El refugio atómico) centers on a group of billionaires who lock themselves in a luxury bunker, designed to endure any imaginable catastrophe, due to the threat of an unprecedented global conflict.
Isolated underground and with no possibility of escape from the Kimera Underground Park, the place becomes claustrophobic for two families marked by a wound from the past. As they unleash their personalities on each other, their hitherto most unconfessable secrets are revealed. But the most unexpected alliances emerge, as well.
Billionaires’ Bunker, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Friday, September 19, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
The cast of the eight-episode series includes Miren Ibarguren (Phenomena, Arde Madrid), Joaquín Furriel (The Bronze Garden, The Kingdom), Natalia Verbeke (The Women on the 6th Floor, The Other Side of the Bed), Carlos Santos (1992, The Chalk Line), Montse Guallar (Return to Las Sabinas, If I Hadn’t Met You), Pau Simón (Nudes), Alicia Falcó (Nacho, Gigantes), Agustina Bisio (Eva & Nicole), and Álex Villazán (The Girl in the Mirror, Caronte), amongst others.
A production of Vancouver Media for Netflix, the series is directed by Jesús Colmenar (Money Heist), David Barrocal (Berlin), and Jose Manuel Cravioto (Monarch). The script is written by Álex Pina, Esther Martínez Lobato, David Barrocal, David Oliva, Lorena G. Maldonado, and Humberto Ortega. The visual design is by Migue Amoedo.
