While waiting for the next installment of Lupin, you can watch Omar Sy alongside Laurent Lafitte in the new French action-crime comedy film The Takedown much sooner.

In The Takedown (Loin du périph), César Awards winner Omar Sy (Intouchables, Lupin) and César Awards nominee Laurent Lafitte (Elle, Dear Mother) reprise their roles as mismatched cops Ousmane Diakité and François Monge (which they originated in the film On the Other Side of the Tracks).

Ousmane and François are cops with very different styles, backgrounds and careers. They had worked together many years ago, but then life split them up. Now the unlikely pair is reunited for a new investigation, one that takes them across France, all the way up to the French Alps. What seemed to be a simple drug deal turns out to be a high-scale criminal case wrapped in danger and unexpected comedy.

Directed by Louis Leterrier (Lupin), The Takedown premieres globally on Friday, May 6, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
