Netflix has set the global premiere date for Banger, a new comedy film from France.
Banger stars Vincent Cassel (Black Swan, “Mesrine” films, Westworld) as Scorpex, a once-famous DJ who is now on the downslide. The thing is, he seems to be the only one who doesn’t get that his glory days are over.
When Rose (Laura Felpin, Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Kingdom), an eccentric agent from DGSI, the French intelligence agency, offers him the opportunity to take down the very trendy Vestax (Mister V, Validé), his young rival, Scorpex sees it as a chance to return to the top with a banger.
Banger, a Netflix Film, premieres globally on Wednesday, April 2, exclusively on Netflix.
(Unfortunately, you can’t set a reminder for it now, as Netflix seems to have removed this feature for many of its upcoming titles, even though pages for them are up.)
The feature film directorial debut of So-Me (aka Bertrand de Langeron), the movie’s cast also includes Philippe Katerine (Wingwomen), Manu Payet (Shafted), Nicolas Maury (Call My Agent!), Déborah Lukumuena (Mental), Alexis Manenti (Ad Vitam [2025]), Paul Mirabel (Un homme heureux), Panayotis Pascot (Haven Of Grace), and Nina Zem (Our Ties).
