Netflix has announced the entire cast of Ferry 2, the upcoming film sequel starring Frank Lammers as the titular criminal.
Following his turn as Ferry Bouman in the Undercover, the series that started it all, and then the first Ferry film and prequel Ferry: The Series, Frank Lammers (Amsterdam Undercover) will be back as the legendary drug lord of the south in Ferry 2. Also reprising his role in the “Ferry” universe is Huub Smit (Riphagen), who returns as Dennis, one of Ferry’s cronies.
Also in the cast are Aiko Mila Beemsterboer (Dear Mama), Tobias Kersloot (Ares), Marouane Meftah (Captain Nova), Hamza Othman (H3L), Jonas Smulders (Undercover), Tenzing Woing (Happy Palace), Kendrick Etmon (Crypto Boy), and Charlie-Chan Dagelet (Dirty Lines).
In Ferry 2, which continues the events of the third season of Undercover, Ferry has lost everything and vanished into the shadows, far away from Brabant. On the surface, he is doing well, surrounded by superficial contacts. That all changes when Ferry’s second cousin, Jezebel Van Kamp, pleads for help, burdening Ferry with a heavy conscience. Redemption beckons, but Ferry knows one secret must remain buried: his part in the murder of Jezebel’s father, Jurgen. The stakes are high, and the truth threatens to consume Ferry…
The film is directed by Wannes Destoop (Rough Diamonds) and written by Tibbe van Hoof (Ferry: The Series) and Geerard Van de Walle (Heldenland). The executive producers are Ivy Vanhaecke and Pieter Van Huyck. Federation Studios handles international sales.
A production of De Mensen, Ferry 2 will be produced in association with VRT and with the support of Screen Flanders and the Tax Shelter Measure from the Belgian Federal Government.
