Netflix released today the official English-subtitled trailer for A Man of Action, a film loosely inspired by the life of Spanish anarchist Lucio Urtubia.
So, the trailer for A Man of Action (Un hombre de acción) reminds me of the one for Clark, the Netflix series about Swedish criminal Clark Olofsson. Its action sequences, humorous bits, and entertaining clips combine to make me say, “Ooh, this looks good!” So, of course I set a reminder for it.
Loosely inspired by the life of Lucio Urtubia, A Man of Action explores the figure of the Spanish anarchist, following his life from the 1940s to the 1980s — from his humble beginnings as a bricklayer-turned-bank robber, to his taking the lead in bringing down one of the world’s biggest banks. How? Through a legendary counterfeiting operation in Paris in which he obtained a huge amount of money from cashing forged traveler’s checks.
Starring as Lucio is Juan José Ballesta (Serve and Protect, The Ministry of Time). Costars include Miki Esparbé (The Innocent), Luis Callejo (The Longest Night), Liah O’Prey (Domina), Alexandre Blazy (Balthazar), and Ana Polvorosa (Cables Girls).
A Man of Action, a Netflix Film, premieres globally on Wednesday, November 30, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
