Netflix has announced that filming has started on Jaguar, the new Spanish Netflix Original period drama.
Produced by Bambú Producciones (Cable Girls), Jaguar will be shot in different locations in Spain with directors Carlos Sedes (Grand Hotel) and Jacobo Martínez (Cocaine Coast).
Set in the 1960s, the series follows Isabel Garrido (Blanca Suárez, Cable Girls, The Boat, The Boarding School), a young woman who managed to survive the Mauthausen extermination camp during World War II. After the war, hundreds of Nazis fled to Spain to hide — and now Isabel is on the hunt for Bachmann, known as the most dangerous man in Europe. She will discover that she is not alone in her mission, and will unite with a group of agents in the search of justice. Her code name: Jaguar.
Jaguar is co-created by Ramón Campos (High Seas) and Gema R. Neira (Velvet), who are also co-writers on the series along with David Orea (45 rpm), Salvador S. Molina (45 rpm), and Moises Gómez (Velvet Colección).
In addition to Blanca Suárez, the main cast includes Iván Marcos (Cocaine Coast), Francesc Garrido (I Know Who You Are), Adrián Lastra (Velvet), and Óscar Casas (Instinto).
Stay tuned for updates.
