This crime drama series follows Florence Cassandre (Gwendoline Hamon, Fatal Reunion, Perfect Murders), a devoted mother and skilled cop who left Paris for a new job as the police chief in the town of Annecy, located in the beautiful Haute-Savoie region, in order to be near her son. In the Season 6 opener, the townspeople are gearing up for the Annecy City Cup, not just the most important regatta in the region but an event that attracts tons of tourists and brings in beaucoup money. What could throw a damper on it, though, is the death of a teenager found aboard a sailboat that was deliberately torched.

Gerri (Italy)

Set in Puglia in the historic port city of Trani, this mystery-crime drama stars Giulio Beranek (Christian) as Gerri Esposito, a brilliant inspector of Romani origin who grew up in foster care. Now in his 30s, Gerri still hasn’t come to terms with his past, which, along with his unconventional investigative methods, affects his relationships with his colleagues. They include Lea Coen (Valentina Romani, La porta rossa), the new deputy inspector who just transferred here from Rome; by-the-book Chief Santeramo (Massimo Wertmüller, The Vertical Line); and fellow inspector Roberto Calandrini (Lorenzo Adorni, Kostas). In the series opener, Gerri investigates the murder of an influential lawyer’s teen daughter, who was found dead on the beach.

The Hunt (Traqués) (France)

This thriller series follows Franck (Benoît Magimel, Pacifiction, The Taste of Things), who, along with his longtime friends, enjoys spending weekends hunting together. But on one fateful Sunday, they come across another group of hunters who start targeting them without explanation. When one of their party is shot, Franck’s friends strike back, sending an attacker to the ground. Barely managing to escape, the four friends keep the event a secret. Franck tries to go back to his life as usual alongside his wife, Krystel (Mélanie Laurent, Inglourious Basterds, Wingwomen), but he starts to feel like he and his friends are being watched. Or worse: tracked by hunters who are now hell-bent on revenge.

Street Flow 3 (Banlieusards 3) (France)

In this final film of the “Street Flow” trilogy, life continues to be about choices the three brothers make, which will determine both their personal futures and the fate of their entire family. Noumouké (Bakary Diombera, The Wages of Fear, Ganglands) reaches a milestone in his music career, but street influences threaten to pull him irreversibly off course. Demba (Kery James, Stret Flow, Stret Flow 2) builds a new life with Djenaba, but his past decisions catch up with him. A Friend, A Murderer (Denmark)

This true-crime docuseries tells the story of how a series of horrific crimes affected a close-knit, rural community in Denmark, transforming it into one of distrust and fear. When the perpetrator is finally caught after eight years, it brings relief to the town and to Denmark. But for three people, it marks the start of their worst nightmare: The person they feared for so long turns out to be one of their closest friends. During the trial, they realize that their former friend had planned and carried out assaults, kidnappings, and murder while partying and having fun alongside them. What echoes in their minds are questions they can’t answer: Why didn’t I see anything? Were we ever really friends? Can I ever trust my own judgment again? The TikTok Killer (El Asesino de TikTok) (Spain)

This true-crime docuseries tells the story of the family of Esther, a 42-year-old woman in Gandía who vanished without a trace after she met José Jurado Montilla, a popular online content creator. To solve the mystery of her disappearance, they begin piecing together her last movements, thanks to the videos that “Dynamite” Montilla shared of his trips across Spain on his TikTok account. Codename: Annika (Finland)

In this Nordic spy thriller, the first mission for still-in-training detective Emma Haka (Sannah Nedergård, The Sandhamn Murders) is within Stockholm’s corrupt fine art scene. The typically calm-and-collected Emma transforms herself into the wild and fiery Annika Stormare in order to get close to Rasmus Ståhlgren (Ardalan Esmaili, Snabba Cash), a gallery own who’s a suspect in a case against Blanko, a major money launderer. The deeper Emma gets in the mission, the more lines start to blur between herself and her legend…

Mismatch: Season 3 (Face à Face) (France)

The new season of this crime comedy finds police investigator Vanessa Tancelin (Constance Gay, Unit 42, Spiral) forced to collaborate with an army officer to determine why a young soldier’s parachute jump turned fatal. Meanwhile, her half-sister, Justine Rameau (Claire Borotra, Le Code, Cassandre), an investigating judge, must be careful not to overstep military jurisdiction.

Love is Blind: Sweden: Season 3 (Love Is Blind: Sverige) (Sweden)

The social experiment continues in the new season of this reality series, in which singles, who want to be loved for who they are on the inside, will date without actually seeing each other. They’ll meet for the very first time when they get engaged, after which they’ll move in together, plan their wedding, and attempt to add a physical connection to their emotional bond over a five-week period. When their wedding day arrives, they (and we) will see if physical realities and other external factors sabotage their relationship, or if they will marry the person they fell blindly in love with.

Love is Blind: Sweden: Season 3, a Netflix Series, premieres globally with four episodes on Thursday, March 12, exclusively on Netflix. Three more episodes will drop on March 19, followed by the final two episodes on March 26, and the reunion episode (date tba).

The Stroke (Udar) (Poland)

Jacek Poniedziałek (An!ela, Boxer, Hold Tight) stars in this dark comedy series as Jacek, an openly gay, middle-aged man and a celebrated culinary critic and creator of popular TV food shows. A fixture of Warsaw restaurants, late night bars, and artistic circles, the brilliant, caustic, and self-destructive Jacek takes pleasure in skewering the bourgeois tastes of the very audience that idolizes him.​ Then he suffers a stroke, after which he is forced to confront uncomfortable questions about himself and his life.

The Stroke premieres in the US with the first four episodes on Thursday, March 12, followed by the last four episodes on March 19, exclusively on Viaplay on Prime Channels and other Viaplay partner channels.

Day One (Spain)

This new thriller series follows the story of Ulises Albet (Álex González, Unauthorized Living, Suspicious Minds), a computer prodigy who left Barcelona and the world of technology after the death of his younger sister. Ten years later, a mysterious call from his former partner and best friend, Samuel Barrera (Asier Etxeandia, Sky Rojo, Velvet Colección), forces Ulises to return during the Mobile World Congress. That Night (Esa noche) (Spain)

Based on the eponymous novel by Gillian McAllister, this psychological thriller series sees Elena (Clara Galle, Olympo, “Through My Window” trilogy) accidentally hit a man with her car during a family vacation in the Dominican Republic. Desperate, frightened, and needing help, she calls her older sisters, Paula (Claudia Salas, Salvador, Elite) and Cris (Paula Usero, The Lady’s Companion, The Cook of Castamar), who must figure out how to handle this situation. They can’t bear the thought of Elena going to jail and leaving her only child without a mother. The question is, how far are they willing to go to protect their family?

This long-running crime drama series, another in the Tatort franchise, centers on the criminal investigations of Moritz Eisner (Harald Krassnitzer, Murder by the Lake), a rather rough and gruff but intuitive detective, and his sensitive partner, Bibi Fellner (Adele Neuhauser, Donna Leon’s Commissario Guido Brunetti Mysteries), of the Vienna Police’s murder squad. Furies: Season 2 (France)

In the new season of this action-crime drama, Lyna (Lina El Arabi, Family Business, Philharmonia) and her now-mentor, Selma/Furie (Marina Foïs, Represent, Savages), peacekeeper of the Paris criminal underworld, are forced to collaborate with a paramilitary group that dominates the Parisian underworld. Torn between submission and death, Lyna decides to play a dangerous game by spying on her new masters for the police. Unaware of this plan, Selma intends to organize a resistance to overthrow their oppressors.

Double Stakes (Ukraine)

This intense action-thriller series follows Igor Shvedov (Vlad Nikitiuk, Fate Triangle, Ruban), a soldier who, after being discharged from the front, challenges the circles of crime and corrupt officials in Kyiv. On his first day back in Ukraine’s capital, he witnesses the killing of his beloved older brother. He also learns something unexpected about his deceased kin: His brother was an influential criminal mastermind. Now Igor starts to suspect that the people in his circle are not who they pretend to be. Zeta (Spain)

In this action-packed thriller, five former Spanish spies are murdered simultaneously in different embassies around the world. Spain’s National Intelligence Center (CNI) discovers that they were all involved in the secret “Operation Ciénaga” (Operation Swamp) in Colombia 35 years ago, during which a sixth agent was also involved… and was the only one to escape the assassins. Finding him is the CNI’s first objective, so they assign their best agent, Zeta (Mario Casas, The Innocent, Bird Box: Barcelona), to lead the mission.

But Zeta won’t be alone in this, as Colombia tasks one of its best agents, Alfa (Mariela Garriga, When No One Sees Us, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One), to find the sixth spy, and she seems to know more about the “Ciénaga” than the CNI. As Zeta and Alfa progress in their investigation, they must avoid danger while uncovering secrets that have been silenced for years. Lucky Luke (France)

This western action-comedy series is inspired by the “Lucky Luke” comic series, created by Belgian cartoonist Morris in 1946, which has gone on to become one of the best-known and best-selling comic series in Europe. This new adaptation stars Alban Lenoir (The Orphans, “Lost Bullet” franchise) as the titular character, a legendary cowboy who embarks across the Wild West to help eighteen-year-old Louise (Billie Blain, Cassandre) find her mother, who’s disappeared. At the same time, they thwart a plot that could change the course of US history.

The Black Widow (Un soupçon) (France)

Inspired by true events, this mystery drama stars Odile Vuillemin (The Paris Murders) as Isabelle, a grieving widow who becomes the prime suspect in the death of her husband. Based on the French play Le Vent des Peupliers by Gerald Sibleiras, which was adapted by acclaimed British playwright Tom Stoppard for the UK stage, this dramedy film is about three elderly war veterans living in a retirement home. Jo Nesbo’s Detective Hole (Norway)

One of the most highly-anticipated new Euro TV series this year, this Nordic noir crime thriller is created and written by best-selling author Jo Nesbø and based on the titular anti-hero character in his “Harry Hole” crime novels, played here by award-winning actor Tobias Santelmann (Exit, The Arctic Convoy, Atlantic Crossing).

The show is a serial killer whodunit that involves two officers and supposed colleagues operating on opposite sides of the law. One is Harry Hole (Tobias Santelmann), a brilliant but tormented homicide detective who struggles with his demons; the other is his long-time adversary, the corrupt detective Tom Waaler (Joel Kinnaman, For All Mankind, The Killing). As the two navigate the blurred ethical lines of the criminal justice system, Harry goes head-to-head with Waaler and must do all he can to catch a serial killer and bring Waaler to justice before it’s too late.

Alexandra Ehle: Season 3 (France)

It’s been kind of a long wait, but the third season of this delightful mystery series will soon be here, kicking off with a crossover episode featuring the lead characters from Astrid to boot! In Paris, Astrid (Sara Mortensen, Off Track) and Raphaëlle (Lola Dewaere, Village of Shadows) discover a human eye in a jar of onions. At the same time, in Bordeaux, quirky coroner Alexandra Ehle (Julie Depardieu, Captain Marleau) examines a corpse whose eyes were removed. Generations (Generationer) (Denmark)

This drama series about three generations of women and family secrets opens with the discovery of an infant’s skeleton in the attic of a property in Frederiksberg. Martha (Ulla Henningsen, The New Nurses), an 87-year-old woman who lives on the property, promptly confesses that she had killed her own child. But her family finds this tough to believe. Regardless, this sets in motion a series of events that will have consequences for the entire family when their secrets come to light. This dark comedy-mystery thriller series follows a diverse group of Spanish tourists on an organized, week-long holiday in Lisbon. Accommodations in a once-grand hotel now crumbling into ruins is not what they had in mind. Nor is the death of one of their fellow travelers the day after their arrival in Portugal’s capital. Leave it to the four mystery and detective novel enthusiasts to take it upon themselves to investigate who the killer might be, even if it’s a member of their travel group. As they delve deeper into their holiday whodunit, they must contend with the local police, a host of suspects, the threat of being kicked off the trip, and their own secrets, all while their time in Lisbon is winding down. Set in 1894, this mystery thriller follows Juhan Liiv (Pääru Oja, The Agency: Central Intelligence, Sisu: Road to Revenge), a struggling, schizophrenic poet who escapes the mental institution where his family had him committed. After making his way to his aunt’s farm, he discovers his uncle was murdered the night before and the stash of old silver coins his uncle had found is missing. Local policeman Peeter (Rain Simmul, 1944) is in charge of the homicide case and develops an unlikely partnership with Juhan for the investigation. Meanwhile, the body count is rising and superstitious villagers blame the devil for the murders, while Juhan continues to battle his broken mind and inner demons.

Men at Work (Onze jongens) (Netherlands)

A riff on The Full Monty, this comedy follows Jorrit (Jim Bakkum, Loving Bali, Baantjer Mysteries), a hunky but hapless man who returns to the Netherlands after years away. Not much is waiting for him; not his ex-wife, not even his son. The construction business he goes in on with his best friend, Bas (Martijn Fischer, Redbad, Penoza), is struggling. But after noticing that the women at the construction site seem more captivated by the workers’ sculpted physiques than the work itself, Jorrit and Bas hatch a plan that could change everything: male strippers. A Man Called Ove (En man som heter Ove) (Sweden)

Based on the eponymous New York Times best-selling novel by Fredrik Backman, this comedy-drama film stars Rolf Lassgård (The Hunters, Death of a Pilgrim, “Wallander” films) as Ove, a grumpy 59-year-old widower who’s mourning the death of his wife. He’s also the self-appointed neighborhood watchman of his small housing community. But when he’s forced to retire, he thinks his life is effectively over, so he starts planning his own permanent exit. As fate would have it, though, his attempts at shuffling off this mortal coil are repeatedly interrupted by his new Iranian neighbors, Parvaneh (Bahar Pars, Tehran, a Copenhagen Love Story) and her family.

Paradis City (Sweden)

Based on the eponymous novel by Jens Lapidus, and set in a near-future Sweden, this action thriller series sees the country’s most volatile districts sealed off to protect the privileged and restrict the movement of their residents, leaving them to be governed by their own laws. When Minister of the Interior Eva Basarto Henriksson (Louise Peterhoff, The Truth Will Out) is kidnapped in Paradis City, the largest of these “no-go zones” in Stockholm, SÄPO agent Fredrika (Julia Ragnarsson, Spring Tide, Blinded) decides to take an unorthodox strategy: She makes a deal with Emir (Alexander Abdallah, Snabba Cash, Thunder in My Heart), a former MMA fighter and criminal facing life in prison. His mission: Infiltrate Paradis City and bring Basarto Henriksson out safely, or else lose the chance to see his beloved daughter again.

But as Emir and Fredrika navigate a treacherous underworld of warring factions, corrupt politicians, and deep conspiracies, their rescue mission turns into a desperate fight for survival. Chantal: Season 1 (Belgium) — English Dub

This crime comedy series follows Chantal Vantomme (Maaike Cafmeyer, The Twelve), who, with her daughter, Emma (Anna-Marie Missoul, Styx), begins a new life in the (fictitious) small rural town of Loveringem, where Chantal is the newly-appointed police inspector. Although the townspeople are used to settling their differences themselves, crimes still happen, which she investigates with assistance from her cop sidekick, Rik (Dries Heyneman, Soil), despite interference from rival detective, Johnny (Mathias Sercu, Under Fire). (Video is subtitled, not dubbed)

Costarring Steven Mahieu (Under Fire), Yves Degryse (Callboys), and Zouzou Ben Chikha (The Twelve), amongst others, the English-dubbed version of Chantal: Season 1 begins streaming Tuesday, March 10, exclusively on MHz Choice and its digital channels, including MHz Choice on Prime Video Channels.

Lakeside Murders: Season 1 (Koskinen) (Finland)

Based on the “Detective Koskinen” novels by Seppo Jokinen, this crime drama follows Inspector Sakari Koskinen (Eero Aho, The Wrong Turn) and his team in the Violent Crime Unit of the Central Finland Police Department in Tampere, including mother-of-three Ulla Lundelin (Maria Ylipää, Arctic Circle), Tinder user Risto Pekki (Turkka Mastomäki, Helsinki Syndrome), and hockey fan Markku Kaatio (Jon-Jon Geitel, Freezing Embrace). Despite the unit being understaffed, under-resourced, and overworked, Koskinen and his crew investigate murders in a nursing home and the tramway control center, drug gang-related arson and homicides, a jewelry robbery gone wrong, and more. Costarring Maria Ylipää (Arctic Circle), Turkka Mastomäki (Bordertown), and Jon-Jon Geitel (Bordertown), Lakeside Murders: Season 1 returns to streaming on Tuesday, March 17, exclusively on MHz Choice and its digital channels, including MHz Choice on Prime Video Channels.
