Netflix has set the streaming premiere date for She Walks in Darkness (aka Un fantasma en la batalla), a new political thriller feature from Spain.

Set during the 1990s and 2000s, and inspired by the most significant undercover operation against Basque separatist group ETA, She Walks in Darkness tells the story of Amaia (Susana Abaitua, Los Farad, Patria, I Know Who You Are), a young Civil Guard officer. She spends more than a decade undercover within the armed terrorist organization (which killed nearly 1,000 people and injured tens of thousands over the course of its existence) — intent on locating secret weapons caches (called zulos) hidden in southern France.
Following its theatrical release on October 3, She Walks in Darkness, a Netflix Film, premieres globally on Friday, October 17, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
Shot across numerous locations in the Spanish and French Basque Country, the film costars Andrés Gertrúdix (Below Zero), Iraia Elias (Intimacy), Raúl Arévalo (The Asunta Case), and Ariadna Gil (Land of Women). It is written and directed by Agustín Díaz Yanes (Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!), and produced by Belén Atienza, Sandra Hermida, and J.A. Bayona, the team behind Society of the Snow.
