Netflix has set the premiere date for Troll 2, the sequel to the global smash hit Troll, Netflix’s most-watched non-English film of all time. Check out the teaser.
Oh, goodness! A new troll is awakened and starts unleashing devastation across Norway in Troll 2, which, like its predecessor, is based on Norwegian folklore.
This time around, the stakes are higher and the danger is deadlier for the heroic adventurers we met in Troll — Nora (Ine Marie Wilmann, Furia, Exit), Andreas (Kim Falck, Midsummer Night, The Architect), and Captain Kris (Mads Sjøgård Pettersen, State of Happiness, Wisting) — who are joined by the fierce newcomer, Marion (Sara Khorami, Post Mortem: No One Dies in Skarnes, With Hunt). Together, they must confront another terrifying and monstrous troll, one that is even more ruthless and destructive.
Thrust into their most perilous mission yet, they must enlist new allies and delve into the country’s ancient history to find answers, if they’re going to stop the creature’s rampage. As the clock ticks and the troll’s path of destruction grows wider, they face impossible odds in their fight to save their homeland from falling into darkness.

A production of Motion Blur, the film is directed by Roar Uthaug (The Wave) and written by Espen Aukan (Viking Wolf), who serves as producer alongside Kristian Strand Sinkerud.
