Netflix has set the global premiere date for Ferry: The Series, the new crime drama series that sees Frank Lammers reprise his role as drug dealer Ferry Bouman.
The character of Ferry Bouman is now legendary. Played by Frank Lammers, we met Ferry in the series Undercover. Then we learned about his backstory in the prequel film Ferry. Soon we’ll get to see what the drug dealer and his gang are up to in the present in Ferry: The Series.
Which is this: Ferry takes on being a novice xtc (aka ecstasy) producer to get a foothold in the Brabant underworld. With John (Raymond Thiry), brother-in-law Lars (Yannick van de Velde), Remco (Tim Haars), and Dennis (Huub Smit), he fights the immovable drug lord Arie Tack (Steef Cuijpers, Women of the Night) and a notorious motorcycle club to win his place at the top. But only when the love of his life, Danielle (Elise Schaap), learns the dark side of Ferry and his business does it becomes clear what price he has to pay to become the greatest…
Ferry: The Series premieres globally on Friday, November 3, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now on the show’s page at www.netflix.com/FerryTheSeries.)
The cast includes Poal Cairo (Amsterdam Vice) as Dozer, Koen De Graeve (The Bank Hacker) as Marco Grootaers, Alice Reijs (Tessa) as Sabien Grootaers, Kevin Janssens (Rough Diamonds) as Jurgen van Kamp, Monic Hendrickx (Black Widow) as Claudia Bouman, Tygo Gernandt (The Last Kingdom) as Ricardo, and Dirk Roofthooft (Thieves of the Wood) as Mick.
The eight-episode series is directed by Eshref Reybrouck (Undercover) and Joël Vanhoebrouck (Blackout), and written by showrunner Nico Moolenaar (Ferry), Bart Uytdenhouwen (Undercover), Piet Matthys (Undercover), and Tibbe van Hoof (Undercover). The executive producers are Ivy Vanhaecke and Pieter Van Huyck.
