Netflix has set the global premiere date for Loving Adults, a new psychological thriller starring Dar Salim and Sonja Richter.
Filled with twists and turns, Loving Adults (Kærlighed for voksne) is a psychological thriller where nothing is what it seems to be. It is based on the novel Kærlighed for Voksne by Anna Ekberg.
The Netflix Film, which stars award-winning actors Dar Salim (Black Crab, Dicte, Borgen) and Sonja Richter (Follow the Money, The Bridge, Department Q: The Keeper of Lost Causes), premieres globally on Friday, August 26, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
The story follows entrepreneur Christian (Dar Salim) and Leonora (Sonja Richter), a married couple who appear to have it all. They are living the perfect life with their son, who’s just been declared healthy after a long and severe illness, and their future finally looks quite bright. But at a party at Christian’s company, Leonora sees her husband with a younger woman, the architect Xenia (Sus Wilkins, Below the Surface, Perfect Places).
In the moment that she realizes Christian might leave her — his devoted wife, the woman who sacrificed everything to take care of their son and family — Leonora makes a decision on the spot: She refuses to be the woman who got left behind, by any means necessary.
The cast includes Mikael Birkkjær (Borgen, The Killing), Lars Ranthe (Seaside Hotel, The Chestnut Man), Morten Burian (Speak No Evil, Ride Upon the Storm), Benjamin Kitter (A Fortunate Man, Warrior), Karoline Hamm (Equinox, The Sommerdahl Murders), and Natalï Vallespir Sand (The New Nurses, The Protectors).
The film is directed by Barbara Rothenborg, and produced by Marcella Dichmann for SF Studios.
