Netflix has set the premiere date for Dirty Lines, its new Original comedy-drama series out of the Netherlands. Check out the teaser.
Dirty Lines opens in 1987 Amsterdam. The final years of the Cold War have sparked a sense of hope and inspired a new generation to celebrate life to its fullest. As such, Dutch society is changing rapidly, and the Netherlands’s capital city has become the center of this cultural revolution — with the new “house music” and the new “love drug,” XTC, claiming fans across the city.
Also growing is the business of erotic phone lines, giving callers the opportunity to engage in anonymous sex in a new way. Not only does this change the morality of its users, but of the people who created it, too — namely Frank (Minne Koole, Ares) and Ramon Stigter (Chris Peters, Black Widow).
The Stigter brothers established Teledutch, Europe’s first erotic telephone lines, making them rich overnight. One of their newest employees is Marly Salomon (Joy Delima, Meskina), a psychology student who takes a side job at Teledutch and, in the process of working there, finds herself getting more and more immersed in this wild and rapid transformation.
The six-episode series costars Charlie Chan Dagelet (Hotel Beau Séjour), Abbey Hoes (The Neighbors), and Benja Bruijning (The Schouwendam 12). The cast also includes Julia Akkermans (Women of the Night), Yari van der Linden (Amsterdam Vice), Joes Brauers (The East), André Dongelmans (The Dinner), Ayla Satijn (Anne+), Laura Bakker (Nieuw Zeer), Pip Lieke Lucas, Casper Nusselder (Commandos), Manoushka Zeegelaar Breeveld (Framed), and Eric van Sauers (The Blood Pact).
