Netflix has announced its next Original series from Russia: the heartwarming drama Nothing Special.
Nothing Special centers on Lyokha, a young actor who seeks answers to questions in his relationship with his wife. So he finds himself in an unexpected place when he volunteers at a charity that supports people with disabilities and starts working on a play with the group he’s assigned.
In the performing arts studio of the charitable foundation, Lyokha’s close communication with them allows him to find a common language with them and to discover answers to his questions. Through their interactions, Lyokha realizes that every cloud has a silver lining; that one can find humor where it seems it isn’t possible; and that the most powerful feeling of love can reveal a person from an unexpected side. Now it’s up to Lyokha to help his loved ones see their lives from a new perspective.

The cast of Nothing Special includes Yura Borisov (Anna K), Paulina Pushkaruk, Daria Melnikova (Fury), Anton Sankevich, and Olga Lomonosova (Better than Us).
Written by Mila Prosvirina, Shorena Patsia, Maria Panasyuk, and Ilya Malanin, the series is produced by Valerij Fedorovich, Evgenij Nikishov, and Aleksandr Sysoev.
