Netflix released today the official trailer for Grudge, a new mystery-crime thriller out of Turkey, headed to the streamer next month.
Yılmaz Erdoğan (The Water Diviner, Have You Ever Seen Fireflies) leads the cast of Grudge as Harun, a police chief who is set for a promotion. But before it happens, he gets into a scuffle that turns deadly when he kills the taxi driver who attacked him — a man who was out for revenge against Harun.
Then things get way weird. Harun covers his tracks to cover up the crime, but the dead man’s body is found in a very public place and makes headlines. As Harun investigates the killing while stressing over being found out as the perpetrator, he uncovers a grudge-fueled plot that threatens his family and associates.
Costars in the film include Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan (Leyla and Mecnun, Ariza) and Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu (Rise of Empires: Ottoman, The Protector).
Grudge, a Netflix Film, premieres globally on Friday, October 8, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
