Netflix announced today the cast of Polish thriller Hold Tight, the latest TV adaptation of a Harlan Coben novel.
Based on Harlan Coben’s suspense thriller of the same name, Hold Tight is the second Polish Netflix Original series adapted from one of the best-selling author’s novels.
Starring in the six-episode series are Magdalena Boczarska (The King of Warsaw) and Leszek Lichota (The Border), who have the lead roles of the happily-married Anna and Michał Barczyk. Krzysztof Oleksyn (The Mire ’97) plays the couple’s son, Adam.
Additional cast members include Agnieszka Grochowska and Grzegorz Damięcki, who reprise their roles as Laura and Pawel from The Woods (the first Polish adaptation of a Harlan Coben novel), as well as Jacek Poniedziałek (The Pact), Justyna Wasilewska (Hotel 52), Wiktoria Gorodeckaja (The Trap), and Bartłomiej Topa (Ultraviolet). Young Polish talent appearing in the series include Agata Łabno (Komisarz Alex), Marta Piętka, Jakub Pruski (Komisarz Alex), and Mikołaj Śliwa (Na dobre i na zle).
Set in a wealthy housing estate, where community members lead quiet lives with close relationships, Hold Tight sees everything change after 18-year-old Adam disappears without a trace. The danger escalates quickly, and worried parents do everything they can to protect their children who, on the verge of adulthood, have decided to take matters into their own hands.
The series is directed by Michał Gazda (The Border) and Bartosz Konopka (The Woods), and written by Agata Malesińska (The Woods) and Wojtek Miłoszewski.
Although Hold Tight is not a sequel to The Woods, it will feature the fate of several characters from the first series.

Hold Tight, a Netflix Original series, is expected to launch globally on Netflix in 2022.
