Netflix announced today its new Norwegian feature film, Troll, which will be directed by Amanda Awards winner Roar Uthaug.
Troll, a Norwegian language action-adventure film, will be directed by the internationally-acclaimed Roar Uthaug (Tomb Raider, The Wave). Said Uthaug:
“Troll is an idea that has been developing in the back of my mind for over 20 years. To finally be able to realize it with the enthusiastic and ambitious people at Netflix and Motion Blur is truly a dream come true. I can’t wait to unleash this Norwegian monster on the world.”
Said monster, a gigantic being trapped for a thousand years deep inside the mountain of Dovre, awakens and begins destroying everything in its path. And it’s fast approaching the capital of Norway. But how do you stop something you thought only existed in Norwegian folklore?
Espen Horn and Kristian Strand Sinkerud from Motion Blur, the production company behind Norwegian Netflix film Cadaver, are the producers of Troll.
Troll will be released in 2022 (date tba) exclusively on Netflix.
Stay tuned for updates.
