Cadaver, the first Norwegian Netflix Film, will launch globally on Thursday, October 22, exclusively on Netflix.

Written and directed by the young and talented director Jarand Herdal (Clowne, Everywhen), the psychological horror film stars Gitte Witt (The Spy, Varg Veum), Thorbjørn Harr (Norsemen, 22 July), Thomas Gullestad (Oljefondet, The 12th Man), and Kingsford Siayor (Twin, Home for Christmas, Trapped).

In the aftermath of a nuclear disaster, the starving Leonora (Gitte Witt), Jacob (Thomas Gullestad), and their daughter Alice (newcomer Tuva Olivia Remman) are on the edge of survival. One day, the local hotel invites survivors to attend a theatre play — with a meal included — as a charitable effort to help those in need. Left with no choice, the family of three decides to go.

Mathias (Thorbjørn Harr), the director, introduces the entire hotel as the stage. Attendees are given masks to help separate them from the actors, but the line between reality and theatre quickly gets blurred when the play takes an eerie turn: audience members start to disappear. One is Alice, who vanishes in front of Leo and Jacob, and there is no longer room for doubt. Something is very wrong with Mathias’s hotel.

Produced by Espen Horn (Amundsen) and Kristian Strand Sinkerud (Mammon) of Motion Blur Films, Cadaver features Maria Grazia De Meo (Aber Bergen) as Kathrine, Trine Wiggen (Beforeigners) as Rakel, Bente Børsum (Late Summer) as Vivian, Jonathan Rodriguez (Gåsmamman) as David, Stig Frode Henriksen (Norsemen) as Hans, and Helge Jordal (Vegas) as Ticketmaster.

You can add Cadaver to your queue now.
