Like two plus two is four, things always goes like this: Just when something is about to work, the most unexpected thing happens suddenly, ruining their plans. Tired, exhausted, and broken, Nastka and Monia go to the only place where they feel safe: the family home where their mum (Danuta Stenka, War Girls) and grandma (Anna Nehrebecka, Raven) live.

Family evenings with a glass of wine are a respite, until grandma reveals a long-hidden secret after one glass too many. It turns out that the bad luck that haunts them is the result of the nefarious acts of great-great-great-grandfather Bogusław, who nabbed a holy picture from the pope, who then put a curse on the whole family — all the way to the seventh generation. On whose life does the curse end? Aunt Aniela (Iwona Bielska, The Plagues of Breslau), grandma’s annoying twin sister. So, Nastka and Monia embark on a quest to end the curse, even if it means outwitting their cursed yet cunning Aunt Aniela.

Although the police increase security and take additional measures to protect the DeCanins, they cannot prevent another dangerous situation from occurring, forcing Matteo to seek help from Carabinieri Erlacher (Harald Windisch, Walking on Sunshine, Vienna Blood). (Video is subtitled, not dubbed.)

The English-dubbed version of The Winemaker: Season 2 premieres in the US and Canada on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, exclusively on MHz Choice and its digital channels, including MHz Choice on Prime Channels.
