Netflix has set the global premiere date for Deceitful Love (Inganno), a new romantic thriller series from Italy.
Deceitful Love stars Monica Guerritore (Thou Shalt Not Kill) as Gabriella, the wealthy, elegant owner of a luxury hotel on the Amalfi Coast. She is sixty years old and proud of it. But with her three children grown, there doesn’t seem to be many surprises in Monica’s life anymore — until she meets Elia (Giacomo Gianniotti, Grey’s Anatomy).
Elia is handsome, charming, energetic, and free. He also happens to be the same age as her eldest son. And he’s utterly irresistible to Gabriella, whose fascination with him is a bit ambiguous as well as frightening.
Despite their age difference, the two get involved romantically, and Gabriella rediscovers herself as a woman and as a lover. For Elia, she is ready to put everything on the line — even her relationship with her children and their inheritance.
