Netflix has announced the start of production on Bad Boa’s, a new buddy cop comedy film from The Netherlands.
In Bad Boa’s, Ramon (Jandino Asporaat, The Claus Family 3), a dedicated special investigating officer determined to make his Rotterdam neighborhood safer, is forced to work with Jack (Werner Kolf, Commandos), a reckless ex-detective temporarily demoted to Ramon’s team after an incident.
While these two opposites must work together, they eventually discover that they have more in common than they expected: the loss of a loved one who was murdered. As Ramon and Jack become a dream team, they do everything they can to track down the perpetrator, leading to several major discoveries.
The cast of Bad Boa’s also includes Mark Rietman (Lord & Master), Florence Vos Weeda (The Wonder Weeks), Juliette van Ardenne (Ferry), Teun Kuilboer (Commandos), Daniël Kolf (Forever Rich), Victoria Koblenko (Girls Don’t Give Up), Romana Vrede (The Neighbors), Yannick Jozefzoon (Amsterdam Vice), Nazmiye Oral (Undercover), Ferdi Stofmeel (Amsterdam Undercover), Rian Gerritsen (Five Live), Phi Nguyen (Moloch), and Richard Groenendijk (The Oldenheim Twelve).
A production of Kaap Holland Film and Het Huis van Asporaat, the film is directed by Gonzalo Fernández Carmona (Venus); produced by Maarten Swart (Red Light) and Kenneth Asporaat (Bon Bini: Bangkok Nights); and written by Thomas van der Ree (Undercover), Joost Reijmers (Strike Force), and Kenneth Asporaat.
