Prime Video announced today the premiere date for the second season of its hit German drama series, Maxton Hall – The World Between Us. Check out the teaser.
Ah, young love. Except when it goes sideways.
Such is the case for arrogant millionaire heir James Beaufort (Damian Hardung, Our Miracle Years) and quick-witted scholarship student Ruby Bell (Harriet Herbig-Matten, The Nordic Murders), who meet at Maxton Hall private school in Season 1 of Maxton Hall – The World Between Us (Maxton Hall – Die Welt zwischen uns). Although the two come from different worlds, a spark between them ignites, eventually leading to their passionate night together in Oxford.
But, in Season 2, a stroke of fate in James’s family changes everything, and James himself, of all people, yanks Ruby down from cloud nine to the harshness of real life. Ruby is devastated. She has never had such strong feelings for anyone as she does for James, and she has never been hurt as deeply by anyone than she has by James. She wants her old life back, before anyone at Maxton Hall knew her and she wasn’t part of the elitist world of her classmates. But she can’t forget James, especially since he’s doing everything he can to win her back.
Season 2 of Maxton Hall – The World Between Us (#ad) premieres globally on Friday, November 7, exclusively on Prime Video.
Based on the novel Save You by Mona Kasten, the second title in her “Maxton Hall” trilogy, the new season costars Sonja Weißer (Tatort: Borowski) as Lydia, Ben Felipe (Pagan Peak) as Cyril, Fedja van Huêt (The Adulterer) as Mortimer, Runa Greiner (The Interpreter of Silence) as Ember, Justus Riesner (Loving Her) as Alistair, and Andrea Guo (We Are the Wave) as Lin, Frederic Balonier (Where’s Wanda?) as Kieran, and Eli Riccardi (Cologne P.D.) as Elaine.
In addition to the returning cast, Martin Schreier (One Night Off) was back to direct the second season, which is produced by Markus Brunnemann and Ceylan Yildirim, who also serves as head writer of the series, along with scriptwriters Juliana Lima Dehne and Marlene Melchior. Valentin Debler is once again the producer for UFA Fiction. The series is supported by the German Motion Picture Fund (GMPF).
