Netflix’s upcoming Nordic medical drama is an eight-episode series hailing from Norway.

Set in an emergency ward, the still-to-be-named drama follows a team of exhausted but resilient doctors and nurses who are ready to help if you’ve broken something, if you’re bleeding, or if you need urgent medical help of a different sort — regardless of whether you’re rich or poor, or an influencer, carpenter, or minister.

Sofia (Sara Khorami, Troll 2, Post Mortem: No One Dies in Skarnes, Witch Hunt), a surgeon with more talent than patience, is sent into this chaotic environment — the last place she wants to be — to save her career. Here, she encounters disorder, resistance, and something she never expected: warmth, community… and love. Suddenly, she faces a choice: continue alone on her path to the top, or nurture a bond she never knew she needed and become a part of something greater: a family.

Created and written by Harald Rosenløw-Eeg (La Palma, The Arctic Convoy) and Jan Trygve Røyneland (The King’s Choice, A Storm for Christmas), the show is directed by Henrik Martin Dahlsbakken (The Arctic Convoy, Another Happy Christmas), who makes his series-directing debut with this drama. Co-writers include Ane Isungset (17) and Maren Skolem (Fenris).

A production of Klynge, in its first collaboration with Netflix, the series is produced by Magnus Ramsdalen, Esben Selvig, and Kaare Daniel Steen.

Casting is currently underway, and the entire series will be shot in Norway.

The yet-to-be-titled series is slated to premiere globally on Netflix in fall 2026. Stay tuned for updates.
