Netflix has set the global premiere date for iHostage, a new crime thriller film from the Netherlands.

On February 22, 2022, an armed 27-year-old man entered the flagship Apple store in the heart of Amsterdam, taking hostages and demanding a 200 million euro ransom. The hostage crisis gripped the city, captivated the country, and drew worldwide attention.
Inspired by this shocking hostage situation, iHostage follows a Bulgarian man caught in a life-threatening ordeal as the armed assailant holds the building’s occupants hostage. Through the eyes of the attacker, the hostages, and the first responders, the film delivers a tense and emotional tale of courage, survival, and the lasting impact of terror.
iHostage, a Netflix Film, premieres globally on Friday, April 18, exclusively on Netflix.
