Netflix has set the global premiere date for Murder Mindfully, a new crime dramedy series from Germany starring Tom Schilling.
Based on the best-selling novel Murder Mindfully by Karsten Dusse (Book 1 in his “Achtsam Morden” series), Murder Mindfully (Achtsam Morden) stars Tom Schilling (The Same Sky, Generation War, Tatort: Cologne) as Björn Diemel, a successful lawyer who unexpectedly becomes a murderer.
In order to create a better work-life balance, spend more quality time with his daughter, and, hopefully, save his marriage, Björn attends a mindfulness seminar. Indeed, the seminar does what it promised, although not in the way he imagined: Björn applies his newly-learned mindfulness techniques directly to his client, Dragan Sergowicz (Sascha Geršak, Das Boot), a brutal and careless mafia boss, whereupon both the police and the entire mafia clan are snapping at his heels.
Despite the tense situation, Björn finds himself able to keep his cool and completely reorganize his life. So, if a few murders are what it takes to solve his problems now, it’s simply a natural outcome of this new, mindful transformation of his life.
Murder Mindfully, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Thursday, October 31, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
