Netflix has set the global premiere date for Iron Reign (Mano de hierro), a new crime thriller series from Spain.
Iron Reign is set in Barcelona, where the sea port receives nearly 6,000 shipping containers filled with goods from all over the world every day — goods that can hide more than 30,000 kilos of cocaine in just a year, making the port city one of Europe’s most important gateways in the profitable drug trafficking business.
Joaquín Manchado (Eduardo Fernández, 30 Coins, Criminal: Spain) knows well how profitable the drug trade is. He owns the main terminal in the port of Barcelona. If someone wants to import an illegal load of narcotics through the port, they have to go through him. Not only must they secure Joaquín’s support, they also need to collaborate with various entities within the criminal network that he has built and shaped around him.
However, an unexpected accident and the disappearance of an important load of cocaine will unleash a ruthless war riddled with murders and revenge.
Iron Reign, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Friday, March 15, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
The six-episode thriller costars Chino Darín (The Kingdom, The Embassy) as Victor, Jaime Lorente (Money Heist, Elite) as Néstor, Natalia de Molina (Foodie Love, Cathedral of the Sea) as Rocío, Sergi López (The Barcelona Vampiress, Mediterraneo: The Law of the Sea) as Román, and Enric Auquer (Perfect Life, Sky Rojo) as Ricardo.
A production of The Mediapro Studio (Victim Number 8), the series is created and directed by Lluís Quílez (Below Zero), who also serves as the series’ head writer and an executive producer.
