Netflix has set the global premiere date for Sister Death (Hermana Muerte), a new horror mystery movie from Spain.
Set in post-war Spain, Sister Death centers on Sister Narcisa (Aria Bedmar, Muted, Heirs to the Land, Dime Quién Soy: Mistress of War), a young novice with supernatural powers. Soon after Narcisa arrives at a school for girls, housed in a former convent, to begin teaching, strange events and increasingly disturbing situations start to torment her and eventually lead her to unravel the terrible skein of secrets that surround the old convent and haunt its inhabitants.
Sister Death, a Netflix Film, premieres globally on Friday, October 27, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
The cast includes Almudena Amor (Muted) as Sister Socorro, Maru Valdivielso (The Ministry of Time) as Sister Julia, Luisa Merelas (Néboa) as Mother Superior, Chelo Vivares (30 Coins) as Sister Sagrario, Sara Roch (The Communion Girl) as Rosa, Olimpia Roch (The Communion Girl) as Elvirita, and Consuelo Trujillo (The Accident).
Written by Jorge Guerricaechevarría (30 Coins, Sky High, Code Name Emperor) and directed by Paco Plaza (Eye for an Eye, Verónica, The Grandmother), the film is produced by Pablo Cruz and executive produced by Enrique López Lavigne and Diego Suárez Chialvo.
