Netflix released today the teaser for Creature, a new sci-fi horror series from Türkiye. Check it out.
Based on Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein, Creature (Yaratilan) is an epic story that dwells on one of the most fundamental questions of mankind: death and afterlife.
Set during the final era of the Ottoman Empire in the early 1900’s, and stretching from Bursa to Istanbul, Creature follows Ziya (Taner Ölmez, The Protector), an adventurous, rebellious, smart, and excited young medical student whose biggest desire is to become an excellent physician and cure infectious diseases that known medicine cannot cure.
Ziya crosses paths with İhsan (Erkan Kolçak Köstendil, Heartsong), a fellow medical doctor straddling the fine line between genius and insanity. İhsan is the only person in the world who truly understands Ziya’s ambitions. However, these two estranged, wounded souls will pay the price for the forbidden experiment they were brave enough to conduct. The ancient encryption they have tried to decrypt could let all hell break loose.
Creature, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Friday, October 20, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
