Netflix has announced the new Danish film A Beautiful Life, which stars popular Danish singer Christophe in his first-ever lead role.
In A Beautiful Life, Danish pop singer Christopher plays Elliott, a young fisherman with an extraordinary voice. Elliott gets the chance of a lifetime when he is discovered at a party by Suzanne, a successful, high-profile music manager, who soon pairs him with Lily, her estranged daughter and music producer. On his way to becoming a star, pains from the past threaten not only Elliott’s big breakthrough but also the budding love with Lily.
Produced by SF Studios in co-production with Rocket Road Pictures and with support from Den Vestdanske Filmpulje, A Beautiful Life is directed by Mehdi Avaz (Toscana) and written by Stefan Jaworski (Elves). The producers are Anna Malmkjær Willumsen (The New Nurses) and Julie Rix Bomholt (Gooseboy).
Featuring original music by Christopher, A Beautiful Life, a Netflix Film, will launch exclusively on Netflix in 2023 (date tba). (You can set a reminder for it now.)
