Netflix has released the trailer for Holy Family, a new Spanish thriller series premiering next month. Check it out.
Created, written, and directed by Manolo Caro (The House of Flowers, Someone Has to Die), Holy Family (Sagrada familia) stars Najwa Nimri (Money Heist, Locked Up) as Gloria, who with her baby and au pair, moves to the quiet neighborhood of Fuente del Berro in Madrid to start over, in effect to escape the past and a shocking secret they must keep secret.
Nothing is what it seems in Fuente del Berro, but it is where four women, all from different backgrounds and experiences but all of them mothers, develop a strong friendship between them. But these new relationships also complicate Gloria’s plans.
Then Gloria’s past begins to catch up with her, and we discover “what a mother is capable of doing for her child.”
The cast includes Alba Flores (Money Heist), Carla Campra (La otra mirada), Iván Pellicer (Paraíso), Ella Kweku (Now and Then), Álex García (A Private Affair), Macarena Gómez (30 Coins), and Álvaro Rico (Alba), amongst others.
Holy Family, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Friday, October 14, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
