Netflix has set the premiere date and dropped the trailer for Wild Abandon, the streamer’s latest Original series from Turkey.
Written by Hakan Günday (Persona) and directed by Onur Saylak (Kuzgun), Wild Abandon (Uysallar) centers on Oktay Uysal (Öner Erkan, Stuck Apart, Ethos), a 44-year-old architect who finds himself in the midst of a midlife crisis. His way of dealing with it: live a double life — one as the family man with the car and the home and the loans that helped pay for them, the other as the punk (as in rocker) he’d been in his youth. While Oktay is punkin’ out, members of his family lead their own crisis-ridden lives.
Costars in the comedy-drama series include Haluk Bilginer (Innocent), Songül Öden (Love Me Instead), Serkan Altunorak (The Magnificent Century), Ugur Yücel (Fatma), and Ibrahim Selim (Persona).
Wild Abandon, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Wednesday, March 30, exclusively on Netflix.
