Based on the best-selling novel by Silvia Zucca, An Astrological Guide for Broken Hearts (Guida astrologica per cuori infranti) is a romantic comedy full of tragicomic and surreal encounters.

The story follows Alice (Claudia Gusmano, Mafia Only Kills in Summer), a single, 30-something woman who works as a production assistant at a small television network. Despite being the most competent person in the room, she has few chances for upward mobility in this job. Meanwhile, her ex-boyfriend, Carlo, is getting married and about to become a father, as Davide (Michele Rosiello, Gomorrah), the network’s charming and mysterious new creative director, arrives to put everyone to the test.

Then she meets Tio (Lorenzo Adorni, The Hunter), an actor on the network’s flagship soap opera. According to Tio, astrology is the cure for what ails Alice, and he becomes her personal “astrological guide for broken hearts” — using readings of the stars to help guide Alice through the ups and downs of both her personal and professional life. Not than this prevents her from experiencing a series of bad dates, embarrassing misunderstandings, and awkward surprises, mind you…

An Astrological Guide for Broken Hearts, a Netflix Original series, premieres globally on Wednesday, October 27, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
