Netflix has dropped the trailer for its latest Original series from Norway, the horror dramedy Post Mortem: No One Dies in Skarnes.
Post Mortem: No One Dies in Skarnes follows Live Hallangen (Kathrine Thorborg Johansen, Home Ground), who, after being declared dead, wakes up on the forensic table — with an insatiable hunger for blood.
Meanwhile, her brother Odd (Elias Holmen Sørensen, Struggle for Life) is trying to keep the family-run funeral home afloat, but the death rate in the small Norwegian town of Skarnes is basically zero, so it’s not looking good.
The thing is, as Live’s bloodthirst keeps intensifying, she realizes that her newfound urge can actually solve Odd’s problem. Now she must learn to control her new dangerous nature and decide if she is willing to sacrifice people’s lives for her own survival — and the survival of the family business.
Costars in the six-episode series include Andrée Sørum (Home Ground), Kim Fairchild (Things We Do for Love), Sarah Khorami (Occupied), and Terje Strømdahl (Mammon).
Post Mortem: No One Dies in Skarnes premieres globally on August 25, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now at www.netflix.com/postmortem.)
