Created by Carlos López (Hache, Morocco: Love in Times of War, The Embassy), Santo will star Raúl Arévalo (Black Beach, The Embassy, Velvet) and Bruno Gagliasso (O Sétimo Guardião, Sol naciente, Babilônia).

Santo is a crime-action thriller series that occasionally resembles terror. It tells the story of Santo, the world’s most wanted drug dealer, whose face has never been revealed. The two police officers who go after him — Cardona (Bruno Gagliasso) and Millán (Raúl Arévalo) — initially get on like oil and water, but they will have to learn to collaborate and to understand each other in order to solve the case and to stay alive.

Shooting will start in April, with Madrid and Salvador de Bahía as the main filming locations.

Carlos López serves as the series’ showrunner, with Miguel Ángel Fernández (Morocco: Love in Times of War, The Embassy) and Gustavo Lipsztein (Travesía mortal, Losing my Marbles) as scriptwriters. A production of Nostromo Pictures for Netflix, Santo is directed by Gonzalo López-Gallego (Néboa, La zona, Ángel o demonio) and Vicente Amorim (A Divisão, Romance Policial: Espinosa, Copa Hotel).

Stay tuned for updates.
