Today Netflix dropped the official teaser and announced the premiere date for Snabba Cash, its new Original crime drama series from Sweden.
Snabba Cash, the new Swedish Netflix Original series from screenwriter Oskar Söderlund (Rebecka Martinsson), director Jesper Ganslandt (Falkenberg Farewell), and best-selling author Jens Lapidus (Stockholm Noir Trilogy), launches globally on Netflix on April 7.
Set in Stockholm ten years after the events depicted in the Snabba Cash (Easy Money) film trilogy, this Swedish language reboot follows tech entrepreneur Leya (Evin Ahmad, The Rain, The Restaurant), who after kick-starting her company with criminal money, finds out the hard way that there are no shortcuts to the top without paying the price.
In a buzzing environment where the craving for status and money is stronger than ever, Leya is determined to make it, no matter what. The entrepreneurial jet set, as well as the criminal world, is more brutal, chaotic, and ruthless than ever, so when these two worlds collide, loyalty, friendships, and business partners will all be tested in the never-ending quest for easy money.
The cast includes Alexander Abdallah (Love Me), newcomer Ali Alarik, and Olle Sarri (We Got This), as well as Dada Fungula Bozela (Triggermen), Robin Nazari (Top Dog), Felice Jankell (The Sandhamn Murders), and newcomers Jozef Wojciechowicz (Z.E), Ayan Ahmed, and Khalil Ghazal.
