HBO Max announced today the premiere date for Season 1 of Spanish dramedy Perfect Life, as well its co-production deal for Season 2.
HBO Max will launch Season 1 of Perfect Life (Vida Perfecta) in the US on Thursday, January 21. The streaming service is a co-producer for Season 2 with Movistar+.
Created, written, and directed by series star Leticia Dolera (Under Suspicion, Mad Dogs), the dramedy follows three women as they search for their place in the world while navigating the humiliations and celebrations that come with being a thirty-something millennial.
Maria (Leticia Dolera), Cristina (Celia Freijeiro, The Mallorca Files), and Esther (Aixa Villagrán, Arde Madrid) are in the middle of a life crisis. They have realized that the plans they had made for themselves haven’t really gotten them the happiness they’ve yearned for. Together, they will find alternatives and make decisions that will lead them away from what society expects from them. And they will soon realize that life doesn’t necessarily have to be what they always imagined.
Produced by Movistar+ along with Corte y Confeccion de Peliculas in association with Beta Film, Vida Perfecta had its world premiere at the San Sebastian Film Festival and was crowned Best Series at the 2019 Canneseries Festival, where the three leads also won the Special Performance award.
Production in Spain has wrapped on Season 2, which is co-produced by HBO Max and will premiere on the platform later this year as a Max Original series.
Stay tuned for updates.
