Red Dot, Netflix’s first feature film from Sweden, stars Nanna Blondell and Anastasios Soulis.
Set in the Swedish mountains, action thriller Red Dot follows David (Anastasios Soulis, Gåsmamman, Johan Falk) and Nadja (Nanna Blondell, TWIN, Real Humans), a couple in their late twenties who’ve been struggling with their marriage. When Nadja becomes pregnant, they make an attempt to rekindle their relationship and decide to travel to the magnificent expanses in the north of Sweden for a ski hike.
But their romantic trip turns into a nightmare after a quarrel with two local hunters escalates. When a red laser dot appears on their tent, Nadja and David are forced to flee into the cold, unforgiving wilderness. Totally isolated in the mountains, they are pursued in a sadistic hunt by reckless shooters. Meanwhile, the couple’s past also comes back to haunt them.
The cast includes Tomas Bergström, Kalled Mustonen (Quicksand), Johannes Bah Kuhnke (The Rain), Thomas Hanzon (Agent Hamilton), and Anna Azcárate (The Hunters).
Produced by SF Studios in collaboration with Film i Dalarna, Red Dot is produced by Anna Odenhall and Niklas Larsson, and directed by Alain Darborg (Alex), who also serves as scriptwriter along with Per Dickson.
Red Dot will launch exclusively on Netflix globally (date tba).
