Michael Nyqvist may be gone, but he is certainly not forgotten, and fans of his in the US should be thrilled to know that his penultimate TV series, 100 Code, will finally be shown on this side of the fjords.

Created by Oscar® winner Robert Moresco (Crash, Million Dollar Baby), 100 Code stars International Emmy® Awards nominee Michael Nyqvist (Millennium, Beck, John Wick) and Primetime Emmy® nominee Dominic Monaghan (Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan, Lost, The Lord of the Rings trilogy) as Swedish and American detectives, respectively, who begrudgingly team up to investigate a series of gruesome murders.

(By the way, Monaghan is British, not American.)

The dead bodies of several young, blue-eyed, and blond-haired women have been found in fields of asphodel flowers over the course of a year in New York — a suspected serial killer case that has Tommy Conley (Monaghan) stumped. Then he learns of similar murders in Stockholm and gets a special dispensation from the NYPD to travel there to continue his investigation.

Conley, a tough-talking, bad-ass cop who’s clueless about Swedish culture, is partnered with Mikael Eklund (Nyqvist) of the Stockholm Police, a by-the-book detective who dislikes American culture. The two men hate each other, but are forced to resolve their differences as the mysterious killings continue.

Meanwhile, affecting each of them during their investigation are their personal struggles: the guilt over the death of a colleague for Conley, and the challenge of being a widower, a single father to a young daughter, and a cop on the verge of retirement for Eklund.

As the web of shocking murders continues, Conley and Eklund are led down a path of no return in their hunt for the vicious killer.

Featuring Felice Jankell (The Inspector and the Sea), Charlotta Jonsson (Wallander), Danilo Bejarano (Ängelby), Kristoffer Berglund (Fjällbacka Murders), Peter Eggers (Anno 1790), and Hedda Stiernstedt (Norskov), the 12-part series is produced by 100 Code AB & Zen Productions in association with Frabrik Entertainment, Red Arrow International, and Strix Drama for Kanal 5 (Sweden) and Sky Deutschland (Germany).

100 Code will premiere in the US in 2018 on WGN America.
