Walter Presents Is Now Live & Streaming International TV in the United States

It’s heeere. It is Walter Presents, the brand new subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) platform for non-English-language world drama in the US, and it is streaming Euro TV and other international TV titles right now.

True to the announcement a month and a half ago about Walter Presents expanding from the UK to the US in March 2017, the SVOD service went live in the States today.

Also exact is the number of titles announced as being available for streaming on this Walter Presents launch day: 34.

All of the programs are shown in their original language with English subtitles, and all are exclusive to Walter Presents. Titles include some of the most highly-anticipated Euro TV premieres on this side of the Atlantic, such as Nordic noir drama Valkyrien (which isn’t available yet on WP UK) and French political thriller Spin (Les Hommes de l’Ombre).

Fans of Euro TV crime dramas have plenty to choose from, including Black Widow (Penoza, Dutch), Dead Beautiful (Les Dames, French), and two series from the German Tatort franchise – Inspector Falke and Nick’s Law.

A few other series include crime thriller Night & Day (Nit i Dia, Catalan), drama Home Guards (Veszettek, Hungarian), comedy/fantasy drama The Invisibles (Neviditelní, Czech), and dramedy Scratch My Back (Voor Wat Hoort Wat, Flemish).

Here’s what you need to know to get in on the Euro TV+ goods:

Access to Walter Presents content is by subscription only. There are two subscription levels: $6.99/month (free 7-day trial) and $69.99/year (free 30-day trial). To subscribe you must first create an account with video e-commerce company Cleeng, which Walter Presents uses to handle its subscription payments.

Stay with me here. Clicking on the big “subscribe” button in the upper right corner of the Walter Presents website opens a new window where you create your free Cleeng account using your Facebook, Google, or email account. Once your details are verified, the new window automatically closes and a user icon will be where the “subscribe” button had been. Note that you are not yet a Walter Presents subscriber. To complete the process, follow these steps on the WP website:

Click on one of the shows you’d like to watch.
Click on the first episode (or, if you prefer, a subsequent one).
In the pop-up screen, click “Start Your Membership.
This opens (another) new window, where you select the monthly or annual subscription and input your payment details. If you happen to have a coupon for Walter Presents, you redeem it during this process.

You can watch Walter Presents programs on PC and Mac® desktops/laptops with the Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer 11, and Microsoft Edge browsers; on Android and iOS mobile phones and tablets; and through Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, and Roku.

Watching on more than one device at the same time is allowed and at no extra charge, but access can be restricted if abuse is detected. (In other words, keep the sharing of your login credentials to a reasonable level, if you share at all.)
