Follow the Money (whose original title Bedrag means deception) is a fabulous, award-winning thriller set in the high-stakes world of economic crime — where speculators and swindlers and the greedy and the ambitious commit all manner of crimes in their pursuit of wealth.

The series stars Thomas Bo Larson (The Lawyer, Veni Vidi Vici, The Spider) as Mads Justesen, a thoughtful guy and a hard cop with a dark past and an ill wife, who investigates the death of a man whose body is found in the sea near a wind farm off the coast of Denmark (in Season 1).

Believing the death wasn’t an accident but the result of foul play, Mads makes inquiries and ends up uncovering shady financial and legal dealings. These lead him to suspect Alexander “Sander” Sødergren (Nikolaj Lie Kaas, “Department Q” films, The Killing), the CEO of Energreen, the rapidly-expanding, billion-kroner, sustainable-energy company, of playing a role in the murder.

Meanwhile, ambitious corporate attorney Claudia Moreno (Natalie Madueño, Kriger, Swinger) experiences a meteoric rise up the ranks at Energreen as Sander’s go-to legal fixer, while two young, small-time crooks unwittingly get themselves entangled in crimes that are much bigger and more dangerous than the simple theft of a tablet computer.

Co-created and co-written by Jeppe Gjervig Gram (Borgen), Jannik Tai Mosholt (Rita), and Anders Frithiof August (The Legacy), and produced by Anders Toft Andersen (The Killing), Follow the Money costars Esben Smed Jensen (A Fortunate Man), Thomas Hwan (Rita), Line Kruse (Those Who Kill), Lucas Hansen (Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit), Julie Grundtvig Wester (Heartless), Claes Ljungmark (Arne Dahl), Waage Sando (Unit One), Stine Stengade (Dicte), and Anders Heinrichsen (The Team).

Season 1 features Charlotte Munck (Anna Pihl), Henrik Noël Olesen (Dicte), and Lars Simonsen (The Bridge), and Season 2 — which costars David Dencik (Top of the Lake: China Girl, The Day Will Come) and Sonja Richter (The Bridge, Department Q: The Keeper of Lost Causes) — features Thomas W. Gabrielsson (The Protectors), Søren Malling (Borgen), and Maibritt Saerens (The Heavy Water War).

Link TV, which was the exclusive US channel that aired the megahit Danish political drama Borgen from 2012-2015, will air the first two seasons of Follow the Money (ten 60-minute episodes each) starting Monday, August 20, at 9 PM ET/PT. (Season 3 of the series is currently in production.)

Euro TV fans who can’t access Link TV through DirecTV (channel 375) or DISH Network (channel 9410) can stream all episodes of Follow the Money for 30 days after their debut at linktv.org/followthemoney.

Follow the Money will be part of Link TV’s newly redesigned Monday night schedule that will broadcast alongside new episodes of the hit Spanish period drama Grand Hotel and the critically-acclaimed Israeli drama Prisoners of War (the series that Homeland is based on).
